Will Americans vote to make the Church of Latter Day Saints the official religion of America? Have your say on the matter here!
Will Mitt Romney the First Mormon President of the United States of America?
Despite the huge amounts of money Mitt Romney is channelling into the fight to become the Republican candidate in this year’s presidential election he still has not won the nomination. Super Tuesday was a super muddying of the water with Romney only managing an unconvincing 6 from a possible 10 votes. Could it be that most Americans are a bit wary of the once polygamist cult of the Mormon Church?
Mitt Romney Stifles Mormon Debate
We’d like to answer these questions but the debate is simply not happening. The question is (ironically, this being a Republican matter) the elephant in the room or the Emperor’s new clothes. Even members of the loony Tea Party, Sarah Palin, Birthers and the homophobic right wing are quiet on this matter. Perhaps they are too embarrassed or perhaps religion is not, after all they’ve said, an important matter. Perhaps they don’t want to make a big thing of it because they are going to look even more stupid when Barack Hussein Obama achieves another landslide victory.
Is Mitt’s Mormonism a Problem? Have Your Say Here!
Have your say here. We are particularly interested in the views of the loony Tea Party, Sarah Palin, Birthers and the homophobic right wing but if you just want to poke fun at the aforementioned that is allowed too. Please be advised however that rude remarks and personal attacks on AndAnotherThing (unless they serve to make the leavers of such comments look even more absurd) will be removed.

great debate , let see what happens.
NICE SHARED…….
@ girishpuri – do try to be more succinct and less ambiguous. You’ll paint a picture of a not particularly intelligent person who has no grasp of what s/he’s read or worse still someone who is trying to make out like they have read it…
Heniz – SUCCESS – that’s S-U-C-C-E-S-S. Please stop spamming your pathetic link here.
rated up. pass it on
Romney does not get my vote, not especially because he is Mormon but because he hasn’t the least bit of sympathy for those who are out of work and are in crisis.
I say we should just keep ANY religion out of the government it causes nothing but a heap of trouble (in a politer sense) than it’s worth. We wouldn’t be waisting time on worthless debates on contraceptions and allowing gay marriage. We could use that time to solve the the REAL issues that we have instead of worrying on fake ones that are blown out of proportion.
The Book of Mormon is a so-bad-it’s-good gigglefest, and Romney’s counting on the American right not to read it. Mormons have long road ahead of them to convert the nation. It’s a difficult and thankless task to uproot entrenched mindless prejudices and plant new mindless prejudices.
This is about the most ridiculous thing I have heard. He did not make Massachusetts a “Mormon State” (the proper term would be LDS as that is the correct name for his Church) so why would he do so of the Government or the Country. That is “mormonophobic” if you ask me.
JFK did not make this a Catholic Country, even though that was the fear of so many when he ran for President. The fact that Romney does not debate it is a positive; it shows that he is keeping it separate from his seeking the nomination and if getting that, keeping his political position and faith separate.
I feel that if there is to be concern, it would be more for Santorum who doesn’t seem to be able to do this; and certainly Bachmann would have also been a mistake.
I do think that anyone that thinks Romney is not sympathetic to people out of work; that this person needs to talk to people that have been employed by Romney or people that have met him and talked to him; that is simply not accurate. He feels getting people back to work is one of the most critical things that must be addressed, that and reducing the size of government which is also a must; we simply don’t have enough revenue for all the top heavy agencies and the expense of operating them, especially when so many duplicate responsibilities of others.
I might add that it is not the candidates that ask the debate questions and want to center it all on moral issues such as contraceptives, gay marriage and abortion, it is the moderators of these debates and most of them have been liberal media representatives. It is sad when administering the Federal Government is centered around moral issues rather than balancing the budget, reducing the national deficit, foreign policy and dealing with both our allies and our enemies around the world. Moral issues need to be dealt with at the State level and not the Federal level and in that I agree with Romney.
i thought Romney was up to no good!!!
this here website is always cumin up with true stories. I dunt no why i bother with faux news anymore. i cumin her for mi new news.
wen will that ulsternman b back he told some troovs about oboma.
@factseeker – actually the most ridiculous aspect of this is Mitt Romney himself. In a close second place are the vacuous idiots who don’t possess the capacity to figure out that Romney will finish off what George W Bush started – namely the ruination of America while they line the pockets of the 1%. Third place goes to the American media who, in the pocket of the 1%, don’t have the facility to debate the Mormon cult and the Romneys.
@selina teegarden
Could you get your friends to comment too? They seem to have abandoned this place after their underhand antics.
I wonder how many who aren’t Mormons have read the 13 Articles of Faith?
