This is the support we give our president to be able to work.

President Barack Obama on Monday promised to create over 600,000 jobs through its economic stimulus plan of 787,000 million dollars, which will finance construction projects, schools and summer youth programs.

Obama began the week highlighting the plan even if his advisers avoided realize the expected economic effects of the stimulus on the high unemployment in United States.

Many of the projects to stimulate the economy announced on Monday that Obama is already underway, as hundreds of maintenance plans on military bases, new construction of state highways and airports, besides the money that states have set aside for 135,000 teachers, principals schools and other employees of the education system.

The government considers the summer to spend a key moment, as the weather allows more construction projects and federal agencies have already processed the claims of state funding.

Obama promised a level of federal spending faster in the coming months to revive the economy and produce jobs.

“We still have a long way to go to achieve an economic recovery, but we have taken the right path,” the president said through a statement prepared for his announcement on the additional economic stimulus summer.

“Our measure of progress is the progress that Americans feel in their lives. Until such progress is continuous and robust, we will move forward. No we will not rest. Steadily and continuously give back to the state of the economy “Obama said in the statement.

The president’s announcement comes days after the government reported that unemployment continues to rise: now is 9.4%, the highest in more than 25 years. Thousands of Americans continue to lose their jobs each month, but last month lost fewer of those initially expected.
