Which elector should have gotten presidency?
Obama
Obama got a lead from the economy, because McCain said “i will keep everything the same”. That day the economy fell far. Obama also got most of the black voters and some of the young voters. He said that he would lower gas and tax prices, and would stop us from using foreign oil. His pick on vice-president was a factor too.
McCain
McCain is a healthy old man. He picked Sarah (governor of Alaska) for vice-president. She had her problems too, she has a family of 3 and her daughter was pregnant at 16 years old! McCain got some older people and some young people. He had a plan to stop using foreign oil and use wind, water, solar, and natural gas.
It was estimated that this would be a close race to the finish line. They had an equal chance of winning.
From the moment the polls opened most people were watching the TV or listening to it on the radio for the statistics so far. When the North-East polls closed all people were watching for the electoral votes and the number of votes. When the mid-west polls closed it was a closer race than before. McCain had more electoral votes. When the western polls started to close the tables started to turn to Obama. You need electoral votes from each state to win the election. Obama won with 365 electoral votes and McCain with 173 votes.

In my opinion, it was far from equal. Obama was winning ever since September, or even before. By winning swing states such as Virginia, North Carolina, Indiana, Iowa, Nevada, Colorado, Ohio, Florida, and New Hampshire, Obama was able to sweep McCain off his feet. Nevertheless, nice article.
