Political Playoffs: Road to the White House

               After months of campaigning, and a estimated 2 billion in spending, the final days of the presidential election are finally over. With the voting ended, Sen. Barack Obama appears to have won the race to choose the nations 44th president. It was hard to ignore the polls, though it was historically improbable to predict the outcome of an election. President elect will have quite a handful of work trying to solve the nations economic challenges.  This years campaign was unique from the start.  This was the first election in 80 years that did not feature the previous president or vice president, instead bringing up two fresh faces, Democrats selecting Illinois Senator Barack Obama, while Republicans set sail behind the sails of John McCain.

               During the campaign the issues of age and race were widely lower key than expected, and once the nominees named their running mates, sexism was added to the mix. The regular routine of running negative ads against the other party ran free, and America has been at odds more than ever before. With so much to talk about, it is no wonder this years election has brought out more voters than any previous presidential race. 

               With so much tension about the new winner, presidential news is everywhere. Economic issues will have the President going full time and world crisis neer seems to end, With all this work to be done, The president will have his work cut out to prove why he was elected. The bail-outa for the banks, housing market and auto makers are surely going to find there way back to tax-payers and by the end of the his first term the president will have earned his keep. He made it in, now its time to show he can handle it.
