Initially ignored by the mainstream media, the Obama Department of Justice Fast and Furious scandal is now being covered, albeit still grudgingly, by even the most left-leaning establishments such as the Washington Post, New York Times, and CNN. As the DOJ Gunrunner scandal continues to rock the Obama administration, critical events are also unfolding back in Chicago that could prove equally damaging to Barack Obama’s bid for a second presidential term.
This past week, as reported in the Chicago Sun Times, former Tony Rezko partner Daniel T. Frawley’s Companion Securitysentencing hearing was suddenly delayed – with no revised date having yet been given. Frawley, like Rezko, has been awaiting sentencing for crimes they long ago were found guilty of. Speculation is now rampant over the cause of Frawley’s sentencing delay – most notably its possible relation to former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich’s own most recent conviction. Like Rezko and Frawley, Blagojevich too is awaiting his own sentencing. All three figures have significant ties to both Barack Obama and the president’s most trusted senior adviser and fellow longtime Chicago resident, Valerie Jarrett.
In documents now available at the Sun Times it appears quite possible Daniel Frawley’s apparent cooperation with federal officials could have further linked the dubious relationship between Barack Obama and convicted felon and former Chicago political power broker Tony Rezko – a link that could include recordings of Rezko directly implicating Barack Obama in crimes going back nearly a decade ago.
Of particular note is this exchange found within the Frawley deposition:
…Weaver’s lawyer, Daniel F. Konicek, asks Frawley about what specific information Weaver is supposed to have told Frawley to withhold from federal authorities.
“I’m assuming the information is about the payments made by Rezko to Obama, so we know we’re talking about the right conversation, right?” Konicek asks Frawley.
Frawley doesn’t answer. So Konicek presses him: “Am I correct it was about Obama being paid by Rezko?”
Frawley replies: “I’m not answering that question, based upon my attorney’s instructions.”
If Daniel Frawley has now turned state’s evidence against a sitting president of the United States, things are truly becoming difficult for Barack Obama and those now working double-overtime to protect and insulate this president from a political lifetime of seeming scandal and dubious dealings. We are also reminded of the oft-repeated declarations months ago from our own White House Insider:
…You see, it’s the Justice Department that is the firewall for the administration. For EVERYTHING – and the stuff that could destroy the Obama White House…it starts at Justice, and then leads to Chicago.

Ulsterman — I sure hope the law and order types in Chicago are talking to “Al the Debt Collector” and Private Investigator Sue Daniels in Ohio. Between the two of them, I believe they have gathered quite a lot of criminal evidence going back far more than 10 years. Although it’s birther related, it might very well add weight to the Rezko case. Their interviews cover a lot of ground. Thanks for posting. Glad you’re back.

Like all mob bosses (e.g. Bill Clinton), Obama will be well-protected and -insulated. He can get, and probably already has gotten, away with murder (literally and figuratively).

Assuming Frawley and Rezko have implicated Obama and it’s one tape — what happens next?
I put the blame on the VOTERS. Despite all the media hype promoting Obozo as the latest substitute for Jesus Christ (oh, and by the way, the name “Antichrist” actually means “instead of Christ”) – the VOTERS did not have to bite the hook.
Did it not occur to anyone that EVERYBODY in the Chicago political scene is a CRIMINAL, simply because the system excludes anybody who isn’t one?
NOBODY from Chicago should ever be entrusted with political power outside of Chicago, and that’s that.

It looks like Obama’s messianic image has gone by the wayside. And now we find that his community organizing had more to do with the corrupt patronage system Dems love so much in the big cities.
How anyone could come out of Chicago gutter politics without the muck clinging to him shouldn’t surprise any of us.
Ulsterman…you have been right on about the upcoming scandal, including the one the Dems would try to tar Republicans with to defuse Obama’s problems. Could that be the Murdoch mess ?
I wish people would go after the corruption in our government and affix blame on the leaders who either caused the financial crisis or aided and abetted it with the same zeal that they are pursuing the Murdoch story.
Let’s see if they will go after the Obama scandals with the same righteous indignation. Or maybe Ulsterman’s Insider is right and some on the Left will help push the story along.

Tony Rezko has a status hearing for his sentencing on August 16 in the court room of Judge Amy St. Eve…He was conviced over 3 years ago and is still waiting…Interesting that no one is reporting on this…Daniel T. Frawleys sentencig has been moved to August 24 in Judge Ronald Guzmans court…Frawley filed for an emergency seal on May 24th just after RBO’s Brenda J. Elliots article, he was denied and scheduled a hearing for July 19th…It would appear he was denied again because the case file is still available although much of it is missing/stolen…It was the following Monday the the SunTimes ran this article, he must have wet his pants…
