After a long period of silence, senior White House adviser and longtime Chicago-based Obama ally Valerie Jarrett emerges from the shadows to admit on national television the jobs bill President Obama demanded last week to be passed does not even exist.
Others have called the machinations of the Obama White House surreal. Such a term is proving increasingly appropriate these days.
Just last week, President Barack Hussein Obama, standing before a Joint Session of Congress, declared plans for yet another deficit spending Big Government jobs program – this one costing nearly half a trillion dollars. Throughout his speech, the president demanded loudly that Congress must “pass this bill”, and do so “now”. And yet, what was first revealed by a few within the mainstream media, has now been confirmed by the individual some believe to wield the most influence over the actions (or inactions) of President Barack Hussein Obama. Within minutes of the president’s jobs bill speech, senior White House adviser Valerie Jarrett admitted to MSNBC personality Rachel Maddow that what Barack Obama is demanding of Congress to be passed does not actually exist – THERE IS NO JOBS BILL.
Jarrett indicated the president was about to begin work on “drafting the bill”, while at the same time admitting to Maddow that no-one from the administration had yet even met with any of the Congressional committee chairs regarding the bill’s details, or a plan for passage, giving further credence to the opinion by a growing number that the entire jobs bill speech was simply yet another in a long line of Barack Obama public relations stunts. And with the president himself admitting he intends to take the message of the jobs bill “to the American people” with planned trips across the country, the appearance of the currently non-existent bill as simply a means to justify yet more tax-payer funded campaign tours by the president appears yet more likely.
So goes the Obama White House – demand passage of a bill that does not exist, while simultaneously preparing for yet further campaigning at the cost of millions more dollars to the American taxpayer.

UPDATE: A just-published update by Lynn Sweet of the Chicago Sun Times indicates that, according to unnamed White House sources, President Obama intends to send Congress something tomorrow evening. Prior to the president’s proposals reaching Congress, the White House is organizing a photo-op send-off in the White House Rose Garden where Obama is to be flanked by public union employees, business owners, and veterans – examples of those President Obama declared would benefit from his nearly half-trillion dollar jobs proposal.
As to whether or not an actual jobs bill exists remains to be seen. No indication has come from Congressional leaders – either Democrat or Republican, that the White House has taken any time to preview the president’s proposals with them – a situation that further supports the view the jobs bill is little more than political posturing by President Obama as he continues campaigning for re-election in 2012.

To Ulsterman: The stupid speech was so bizarre and so lacking in anything specific I’m not surprised that it isn’t even written. I furthermore seriously doubt he will write it. Frankly, in spite of all the talk about how intelligent he is, I think he’s just plain dumb. I also truly believe the guy must have fried his brain years ago with the dope he smoked. If his behavior last Thursday is any indication, he may still be smoking it.
It was obvious to me Obama only blurted out that he had a new jobs plan while touring the heartland because someone tried to pin him down on some specific, actual solutions. He handled the person’s questions about as well as Eric Holder handled being questioned by Darrell Issa. But I really did think his team at least would rush to put something together just to cover their butts. Maybe the reason John Boehner didn’t go out of his way to accommodate the president’s date request was because he knew it was only a campaign speech for a fake bill.
Wow, Me! Why don you drink some more of the kool-aid. It’s sad that people like you can still sit there and defend someone who is so clearly inept that he is ruining our childrens future for generations to come.
The only people who still believe in Obama are those blacks with no education and/or a chip on their shoulder, and a few stupid white women. The rest of the country has Obama all figured out and see him for what is – a lazy, narcissistic, and corrupt socialist.

Thank goodness there isn’t a bill. All he really wants to do is carry out his diabolical plan to destroy Social Security, and give more tax breaks to his beloved backers, the Wall Street gang, and the oligarchs their interest payments on their loans to the US through the FED which is a practice that caused the War of Independence.
We exited that war as a sovreign republic and a Declaration of Independence and a Constitution in which Article 1 Section 8 states that Congress shall utter credit to finance projects that would provide a decent civilized future for We the People.
Now, we have allowed Congress to give our power to the FED who is lending us money upon which we pay astronomic interest and simultaneously issues loans to Banksters who gamble with US Taxpayer backed money and pocket their winnings and stick the taxpayer with their losses. And we continue to allow this.
We borrow money to give to straw buyers who purchase thousands of dangerous weapons from Gun Dealers and hand them to the Mexican Drug Cartels to wage war on our US Border Guards, and the Mexican peopla at large. That is an International crime, to arm criminals in another country to murder their own nations people, and kill the guards at our own borders.
To declare war on Libya without consent from Congress and say it wasn’t a breach of the War Powers act because it technically isn’t war and anyway the UN said it was okay.
To sign a bill that gives the super congress power over our own Congress to impose austerity measures on our citizens which are violations of Universal Human Rights according to the latest report from the UN.
It’s time for change indeed.
We have to change the way we think, and get hip to the Constitution. The Constitution is what will save the US from losing it’s sovreignty.
