Zapatero on Trinidad Jimenez: “Everyone Knows Where My Preferences”

The president vigorously defends its support to the Executive to the Minister of Health against the option of Tomas Gomez.
The Prime Minister and leader of the PSOE, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, has had to mediate in the first person to defend this morning, before the Federal Executive of his party, clearly support the candidacy of Trinidad Jimenez for the primaries in the Socialist Party Madrid. “Everyone knows where my preferences,” has been said, to the intervention rather than criticism from the Socialist spokesman in the Assembly of Madrid, Maru Menéndez, who supports Thomas Gomez.
Zapatero has justified this support, in addition, not friendship or personal reasons, but primarily political: “I have acted in this case by the general interest of the organization and responsibility.” In the current debate, one member of the Executive has called the most intense in recent years lived in the dome of the PSOE, have intervened to support the thesis of Zapatero’s number two of the party and Minister of Development, Joseph White; the interior minister, Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba, and the Head of the International, Elena Valenciano, including party heavyweights.
To defend Gomez, and some of the leaders who accompanied him in his presentation yesterday at the headquarters of the UGT in Madrid, as John Barranco, the only voice that was heard this morning was that of Ferraz Maru Menéndez. Blanco, for instance, complained that the presentation of a speaker Gomez criticize his good relationship lately with Esperanza Aguirre. And also complained about the insults that were heard in that act. Rubalcaba blamed the supporters of Gomez that are feeding media to the right and in others the idea that they are the ones who said no to Zapatero.
Zapatero, who has stressed that he did not play anything in the primaries, has relied on the candidates to focus their debate ahead of primaries in people and their needs and the Federal Executive has asked restraint and responsibility in the whole process.
It has also made it clear that once you pass the vote on 3 October, the party will be united and seamless support the winner, who will be the candidate of all the PSOE. Zapatero has also pointed to the direction to act as “guarantor”, as explained on the rear wheel Organizing Secretary, Leire Pajin
