A Human Rights Committee of the Hungarian Parliament is to cross-question former disgraced Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany in September 2010. Incidentally Gyurcsany was also head of the Socialist Party (MSzP) that led the failed social-liberal government coalition between April 2002 and April 2010. Ironically Gyurcsany was never actually elected Prime Minister by the Hungarian people in any election, instead he just paid bribes to gain his power. Initially he bought his way into the government to become the minister of sports, shortly afterwards he bought more power and was illegitimately nominated prime minister and in an open coup overthrew legit Prime Minister Peter Medgyessy. Reportedly no members of the MSzP will be participating in the committee that is to carry out the cross-questioning of why police (under the orders of Gyurcsany) had violated the Hungarian constitution under the social-liberal regime. The MSzP considers the committee to be illegitimate despite the fact that it was established under the Hungarian Parliamentary regulatory system. Many Hungarians have reportedly expressed that they wish to see Gyurcsany in jail for his “ crimes against the Hungarian people. ”
