About Mr. Chávez’s victories and mistakes as president of Venezuela. How and why he has always defeated his opponents.
Hugo Chávez, was born in July 28, 1954. His parents were school teachers in a small city, and therefore, they were poor. Mr. Chávez was born with good skills for playing baseball which help him to get a scholarship to study in the Military Academy where he graduated in Military Sciences and Engineering. He became a soldier and due to his natural charisma and leadership, soon he ascended among them.
Disgusted by the corruption inside the army and the government, he organized a group inside the army which he named “Movimiento Bolivariano.” In 1992 this group decided that it is necessary to change the deplorable situation of Venezuela, and take their country for a new path. They schemed to overthrow president Carlos A. Pérez. Hundred died in the intent, while Chávez went to prison for two years. But this risky feat transformed him into a hero, and when he left the presion he organized a political party called “Polo Patriotico”. In December 06, 1998, with 56% he became the youngest president that Venezuela has ever had. In 2000 he won another special elections with 60%.
Their Biggest Mistakes
The Comandante Chávez, as all knows, is a faithful admirer of his teacher, Comandate Fidel. Motivated by these political ideals, he decides that it is necessary to change the direction of his nation. And because of this he began to “make errors.” In spite of that Venezuela is the fifth world producer of petroleum, when Chavez took the power, 80% of the population lived between misery and poverty. There were a big shortage of schools and medical facilities across the country, and if you has not money, you can not attend to any university.
Chávez, blinded by their desires of seeing improvement among their people, and without measuring the consequences and the anger that it would provoke between the USA and the true patriots who has class and used to decide about everything. And besides, they had already built their perfect democracy with two parties: Copei and Acción Democrática. Which one was more corrupt? It is an extremely difficult question. The only thing I can respond to you is that being Venezuela an oil power, 80% always lived in the misery, without schools, without hospitals and without public universities.
Then, aware of this sad reality, Chavez, without requesting permission from the true owners, started to transform everything. He sent about ten thousand doctors to places where a doctor had never been seen. He also made another big error: He sent hundred teachers to remote towns to teach children and adults how to write and read. And later decided that the university education must be free. But he did not stop of making mistakes: He knew that 3% owned the 70% of Venezuelan lands. He told them, if you do not grow some products in these lands I will give them to poor people who can work them. As you can see, only negatives things for his country Mr. chavez makes and proposes. And that bother a lot to the real Venezuela’s owners. Then they decided that he had to move from their house. It does not matter what it takes, he has to leave their white house.
Due to all those errors, and that he never request permission from them, and that he told to Bush, in New York, that the alcohol and the drugs had damaged his brain, and later named him “Mr. Donkey”, these rich and important people took a radical position: Chavez must leave as soon as possible. As always they do in any country, they buy the corrupt military, called the church, the richest, the CIA, the media, criminals, drug addicts, alcoholics, losers and manipulated, and a very discredited thing that they call “SIP”. (It is a small group integrated by Latin American newspapers’ owner that is devoted to criticize anybody who does not belong to the right wind). All that power together rushes against Chávez.
They organize strikes, protests, provocations, shortage of foods, just as they did to Chilean president Allende, in 1973. And in April 12, 2002, they overthrew him. Could you imagine who substituted him? No, you couldn’t! Well, nothing else than the president of the businessmen. His first ordinance: not more petroleum for Cuba. Why didn’t he say: no more petroleum for USA? I know that you don’t know that Mr. Chaves gives millions to poor people in many US cities.
However, their happiness only lasted just two little days. Because most of the army’s members and the population supported Chávez, these businessmen right away realized that they had to return him to his seat or fight for it. The rich president, Pedro Carmona Estanza, took his airplane and the Comandante Chavez came back. But don’t think that they stopped there. No!, those people never stop! They have all the money, all the power and the media. I don’t know how, but they made that the oil company went on strike for two months. That was something really harmful for the economy, since that it is the main source of revenues for Venezuela. Chávez decided to fire all the 18,000 workers and begin again. Once again he defeated them.
In 2004, full of anguish and bitterness, they told to Chavez: we want another election. Chávez says, ok. Again, they threw all their powers against him, and called the former president Carter, the OEA and others to watch over the election process. Chavez wins again. Now with 59%. They begin to say that there was a fraud, but Mr. Carter and the OEA said that everything was right, and told them to shut up.
Then Chávez told them: Now it is my turn. I want a referendum, so that if I win it, I can be run every time I wanted. They did everything to stop him, but this Sunday 15, again, el Comandante Chavez beat them. 54.36% said yes Mr. Chavez, you can run every time you want. Now he doesn’t have any limit. Meanwhile his enemies are crying, checking their millions, and plotting in the darkness. All these things happen because of Chavez’s biggest mistakes!
