New York— What’s the donut done to anger New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg? The confectionary treat crossed the line by existing, apparently. The Ultimate Big Apple Buzz Kill allegedly said that the “scourge of this greatest city in the state, in fact this country and dare I say the world, is the evil donut.”
Reporters sought to ask a half-eaten donut on the street for a comment and it replied, “Bite me. S’more.” Treats from cakes, pies, cookies and other sugary creations have decried Mr. Mayor for his anti-sweets statements. Pressure groups have organized on behalf of otherwise defenseless victims.
Mayor Bloomberg’s inflammatory comments have left a bad taste in the executives of Dunkin’ Donuts (DD), Krispy Kreme, and Honey Dew among other popular donut locales across this great land. DD CEO aNigel Travis has allegedly called Mr. Bloomberg a “playerhater.”
When can we all just eat donuts along?
