U.S. President Barack Obama addressed the American people with the request along with him to put pressure on Congress, so that he soon canceled subsidies for oil companies.

“I expect that the Congress in the next few weeks to vote on the abolition of these subsidies. And when they do, we will check each member of Congress: they support the oil companies or the American people … So make sure that your voices are heard . Send your representative in Congress, an e-mail. Give them a call. Ask them to stay on your side “- Obama said Saturday in a traditional radio address to the nation.
He recalled that every year four billion dollars from the pockets of taxpayers forwarded to subsidize the oil industry, which is unacceptable, because the oil companies reap huge profits.

Obama also stressed that although it is important to increase oil production, this is not enough.
“Ever since I became president, America’s dependence on foreign oil is reduced each year. In 2010, the first time in 13 years, less than half of the total amount of oil we used was from abroad,” – he added.

The Subsidies Obama spoke of are not giveaways they are the same expenses, deductions, and tax credits used by every US company to legitimize their expenses. If Obama prohibits expense write-offs those costs will be passed on to the American consumer at the pump! The oil and gas industry provides 86 million a day to the federal government in taxes and hires 9 million people. Are we going to let Obama screw that up too? Stop being a brainless pundit and figure it out, okay? It’s Obama’s policies that have raised the cost of gas, he’s done nothing to increase drilling or supply as the EPA creates more restrictions! Wake up!
