Will the President’s Final Gambit be enough to place America back on track?, or will the economic recession end up devouring the country?
Times are truly dire in this present day: The United States face a dire crisis brought upon themselves by the previous president, George W. Bush, who, in his two presidential periods, thrusted the economic powers of the world’s supernation down to critical levels, utilizing the Iraq War as a means of obtaining cheap petroleum and covering up the repeated anomalies hat occurred inside his government.
The enormous pooling of resources that gave about the U.S’s invasion of Iraq has now taken it’s toll, as the country was literally “drowned” inside a brutal wave of disemployement in 2008. Businesses slowly crumbled one after another, exportation rates crumbled, and recession slowly ensued.
In 2008, the Obama Administration rallies victory through use of a massive campaign that called for “Hope” in the upcoming need of change.

January 20, 2009, President Barack Obama was inaugurated in office. He and his administration were now tasked with healing 8 years worth of damage to what had been a superpower.
This was when America’s last gambit was put in motion.
This is America’s last chance..
It’s also quite simple, Change or Decay: As the World’s nations finally begin to rise up from the far reaching constrains that came as a result of the end of World War 2, the economic and political playing field changes. No longer are these the days of superpower driven markets, or general restrictions imposed on international trade.
As most of Europe and North America begin to slowly fade, due to their own specific reasons (all pertaining to corruption and lack of political initiative) new powers rise to take their places, among them, Brazil, India, Germany and, as the USA’s most likely succesor, China. Stock markets such as Wall Street can no longer dominate as much financial power as they did in the days of yore, because large scale corporations are no longer viable.
The so called Sharks that rose in the last 3 decades of monetary boom, are now simply extinct.
The explanation: taxes and financial inflation are a constant, they will always exist because no matter what system we employ to participate in trade, it will never be perfect, resulting in unbalanced gain or loss of value among those who exchange whatever goods there can be.

In an effort to stay competitive, corporations and grand scale companies of all trades initiated a process of eliminating or absorbing as much value of small businesses they could, hoarding experts and professionals of any kind, just to keep them away from their rival’s hands.
This practice started in the 60s, when American corps started taken their range of control far beyond what was deemed safe, propagating laws (Health care, Taxes, Employee Contracting, etc) that would favor them above the common citizens.
“Hippies” as the more liberal kind of citizen was nicknamed, initiated mass protests against events such as the Gulf War, which among many others, was one of the things that yelled “Corporate Influence” all over, specifically, to obtain fuel and sell weaponry, nobody really believed this was specifically harmful to the country: The Government had simply introduced new laws, that, with the short amount of media attention that they were given, nobody believed would cause much harm. The USA was “fighting the good fight” against the Gulf terrorists, we were all very innocent, and ideas such as a possible economical collapse were not something you heard on the news.
This may be sounding somewhat like a history lesson on your own country, we all hate that, so I’ll skip up some 50 years in the future..
The Future

No, we still don’t have robot servants or a perfectly “Green” society, we have this:

It’s mostly like this
We currently live in a country where the following rules can be applied:
1- Getting a Job is an activity in which you’ll fail approximately 79% of the time, if you are not a professional.
If you are, expect even less chances and a reduced salary in comparison to what they should be paying you
2- If you become sick with anything that is slightly more complicated than a common cold, and you pay a company for insurance, expect a highly stressing legal battle to get what’s yours.
I may be describing it in quite a dramatized fashion, but these two problems are a reality, they’re getting worse, and are quite enough to make you’re life unlivable.
Now on to Obama

The guy above has currently set the record after doing something no other president has done before. Among more than 20 Legislations signed with the objective of reducing the impact that the recession has caused, he’s reformed Health Care, and he introduced and managed to pass the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
So what?
Essentially, he’s managed to fix both of these problems, for now.
Now, I am going to be sincere with you dear reader, I am not a professional economist or political analyst, but I can state the following, our country is damaged, it’s corporations are corrupted, it’s government has received injury to it’s core, and still, we must continue on.
Why?
Most analysts say almost as a fact, that one of the reasons we are in this predicament is that our attempts at solving other countries problems have gone too far, without giving any results or benefits to us whatsoever.
I state the following: If the United States of America is not the one to do this job, then who is? Nobody else possesses the amount of military power we have, nor do they possess the will to do it, not even China, who, by staying to itself for the last 5 decades, is now on the verge of becoming the next superpower.
If the current problems that harm us cannot be resolved by 2012 (yes, specifically that year) the damage becomes unrepairable, and no amount of effort will rise America back.
You, dear reader, must not let yourself be swayed by political party-ism or hate. Please, hear this message, and send it along to a family member, a friend, a passersby, whoever it is you think you know can help by understanding this.
Thank You

Nice post
I think that you also blame Bush for a lot of what happened in the prior Presidency. Clinton signed NAFTA, Free Trade with China, repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act, allowed drug companies to advertise, and my favorite the Fair Housing Act. Those all took time to bring us down, but bring us down they did. Bush did have the deficit coming down until 2006 when the Democrats took control again. AND Clinton surplus was the result of counting SS Trust Fund income and applying it to the deficit.
I blame him, true, but but I do not see any of the reasons you mentioned as catalysts for the current deficit we face: The Glass-Steagall Act and NAFTA were, in my opinion, necessary to avoid further use of speculation tactics inside the stock market, while the North American Free Trade Agreement is, to say in simple words, the cornerstone of current economical transactions across the globe.
Instead, the Bush Government not only did not do any measurable action against the possible crash, it wasted years in petty war.
Very nice article, but I think I will reserve my personal political opinion, seeing as yours and mine are quite different.
Man good writing you have here. Congrats
Not bad, but the conclusion of your article did not communicate your message well enough. Perhaps it would’ve worked better with a slight extension.
Keep writing, you’re getting better.
Um… Thanks? XD
Phew! That was long. I kept thinking you were gonna finish the artcile, and each time i scrolled he page, there was more..
Still, i liked it
Wow, people are really viewing my article a lot today, is it because it’s Saturday?
Still, thanks for your comments and suggestions everyone. I’m trying to get better at writing serious articles in Triond, and I’m glad to see that, despite there being many more “controversial” or scandalous news, my article is still being read.

good write, liked it
Sandy has it right, but let me expand upon it a little more. Don’t forget that the president, Obama, George Washington or anyone in between, does NOT decide how much, or little, money is spent on anything. That is up to the House of Representatives. The Senate and the President can only decide to agree after negotiating with the house. Therefore to say that any president has spent money his way is a complete fallacy, unless of course that president is doing something unconstitutional.
I completely agree with AngryInAz. The President really does not hold enough power to use the funds directly in any way without consent from the other powers.
Still, the Executive Power still shares the blame/fame when an important decision/treaty/law/act is launched in the majority of the country.
He (or she, if it happens someday) literally holds the “Face” value: His decisions, opinions, values and most importantly, his people inside the office, virtually mold many of the paths that are taken regarding the path a government and its country take.
In my opinion, Bush simply decided to stop caring and concentrated all of his effort into a war that did not even bring enough petroleum into our shores.
Though Id like to hear all of your opinions, especially yours AngryInAz and Sandy, you sound like really knowledgeable people
Give it up with the blaming Bush. Two things, Bush had the same Democratic Congress we have right now, only slightly less dumbos in charge under Bush, Clinton wasn’t as bad because he veered off to the center, when the Republicans booted out the dems in his second year, so that slowed down the spending somewhat. Two, this President has had 22 months to follow through on anything, and all he has managed to do is insult us around the world, and kill jobs with his massive taxation, supposedly on the rich, however it hits you in the pocket when you are laid off from those rich owning jobs because they can’t afford to be taxed like that. Oh, and that lovely Obamacare you have been waiting for is going to kill even more jobs and dilute the medical profession. I know I have seen it with my own eyes, I lived in Canada for 22 years.

Sorry, when you say Democratic Congress, are you referring to the United States Congress?
Bush made sure that the 2005 Congress, which was formed in the middle of his two term time-line obtained the majority through Media Circus techniques such as the Filibuster Nuclear Option, the Katrina Hurricane disaster relief, CIA leak and the Iraq War, utilizing the news networks as a means of diverging all public attention into the Republican candidates.
From 2005 to 2007, among the 20 legislations that were enacted, at least 15 of them issued higher percentile tax rates and leases and protections on the arms trading business (Iraq War anyone?)
From 2007-2009, with the public practically nauseated with the constant Protect America public media campaign, the Congress did become composed by a Democrat majority, but by this time, the public and military damage had been so considerable, and the loss of life of Americans so great, that at least 2/3 of the legislations were made concerning financial help. A little late I guess..
Now, with the upcoming elections, you can vote for the Republicans, their (recently, or finally, announced) promises are as follows:
A comeback to the Bush Government laws, with drastic tax cuts that will once again benefit the so called Rich, and protect Wall Street from the current reductions made. The elimination of the Health Insurance plans made by the Obama Administration, and the passing of administrative control of Public Health Insurance to the same Rich guys who broke the economy by manipulating taxes and stock sales for their own personal gain, also called Wall Street.
Yep, the future seems bright doesnt it?
And, I agree with you on the last points, the availability of jobs for any social class depends on the existence of Upper economic levels and grand scale businesses or corporations, but, if the article above did not explain it well, I will:
We need to change the absurd amalgamation of capital and the ridiculous manipulation Health Care Industries apply to protect themselves. China is beating us in almost all standards because, despite being virtually communists, they regulate the stock market and the public system by themselves.
We either teach our Corporations to stop having so slippery hands and our Medical System to stop trying to let us die for money, or..
Well..
We will get jobs, the financial system will eventually get right..
But I assure you neither of us is going to be able to survive. Food and living will become ridiculously priced, and the upper classes and capital investors will simply flock to other countries.
That, as described by Greek Philosophy, is what we would modernly call, the crumbling of a Civilization or Empire, either term applies.
Obama is counting on your shortsightedness to let the blame fall on GWB. This housing bubble was caused by the 1979 Community Reinvestment Act pushed by Carter. During the 90’s the Democrats and ACORN used the same Act to force banks to make risky loans.
Then there was the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act which had stabilized the economy since ‘34 (significantly to blame for the 2007 subprime mortgage crisis and 2008 global economic crisis) True, a Republican (Phil Gramm) wrote the repeal, but Clinton signed it.
This repeal”significantly to blame for the 2007 subprime mortgage crisis and 2008 global economic crisis>
Obama was also a community organizer for ACORN and taught how to push banks into these risky loans.
Do your research next time before jumping into the blame game
And exactly when didn’t I do my research?
You are talking about Bubble Bursts that each had their repercussions occur during the Nineties, hence the huge Recession of that Decade.
The current Crash we are facing was caused simply by the lack of foresight that the Bush Administration had regarding anything else that wasn’t related to the Military.
I suggest you read the current Defense Minister’s attempts at lowering the taxes that are destined for the military at the Pentagon, after that, read about the laws made during Bush that allowed said titanic numbers to exist.
You’ll be left open mouthed.
Im not saying Obama is a perfect president, they all have their faults, seeing as they are human, but I must say that considering the policies Bush made during his Two terms of presidency, he has nothing on Obama.
http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/2010/10/princeton-study-links-barack-obama-to-current-financial-meltdown/
If you read this,, my young friend, you will see that Obama was representing ACORN back in the 90’s. He said he thought it was a good idea to give mortgages to people who couldn’t afford them.
As I said, do your research.
And does that, in any way, mean Obama ruined the economy?
I sincerely prefer his involvement with ACORN to 8 years of doing almost nothing in of financial value.
Tens of billions of dollars requested for the sole purpose of searching and digging out a supposed terrorist is not what I had in mind as the economical business plan of the planet’s major superpower.
Besides, ACORN itself is not the problem, as another similar plan is in the works for the upcoming months, with a different name of course.
As a country, you need to support and subsidize the lower classes, the shadiness of the process is just the direct consequence of the lack of credit control it’s banks possess.
Otherwise, collapse is simply at the hand’s reach
I think too much credit is given to Galvatron to call him shortsighted. He is uneducated, brainwashed, and/or a hippie shill for Marxism. The fact is that folks saw the housing bubble coming in 2003. In 2005 Chris Dodd, Maxine Waters and Barnie Frank, used vitriol and wild emotion to stop any action to preclude the crash of 2008. Things were going fine up to 2007, when $3+ gas (the worst crisis to hit the USA, ever). In 2001, more people died in the second foreign attack on our shores, than the first in 1941. If that does not deserve a military response, remember that every reason the turncoat Powell delivered to the UN turned out to be true… and the Minor Socialist Media (CBS, NBC, ABC, WAPO, NYT) ignored that fact because it didn’t fit with their agenda.
The protect america media campaign you speak of was so easily overlooked, washed out, and diluted by by the false din of “Bush Lied” and other lib’ whining that it was barely audible. The “financial help” you speak of was giving fish to folks who shoulda been taught to fish, but that is neither material, nor relevant to your points nor discussion of this topic.
The bottom line is that the Constitution of these United States empowers the Federal Government to “provide for the defense and promote the general welfare”. It does not work the other way, no matter how many votes Marxists can “buy”.
I noticed that Galvaton’s main topics are about Pokemon, so I doubt if he’s too old, and may be still drinking the Koolaid.
Hahaha
Your comment made me laugh vrajavala, I was expecting something professionally written when I started reading your post…
Those Pokemon articles get so many views, its a shame just to let those topics go to waste
Now seriously, here’s a response to TexasTrucker:
Do you even know what Marxism is??
If I was a Marxist, according to Marx’s original Manifesto, I would need to do the three following things:
- First, I would be calling for a change in society’s materialistic production order, which, in this case, would be like saying USA needs to be something entirely different.
I’m calling for change, not fascism or chaos. Read the article, it’s not there as a decoration.
- Second, I would need to criticize Capitalism…
Sorry to disappoint you, but I don’t fashion myself as an imbecile.
- Third and final, I would be advocating a (specifically) violent social revolution in America..
Do I need to say more?
I’ll simply direct you to Wikipedia:

Good day gentlemen.
Galvatron3000
keep laughing my friend. I won’t waste my time further with you. If you can’ see the obvious, I can’t make you.
May I suggest that you purchase a copy of Dr. Michael Savage’s new book “Trickle Up Poverty”?
Adios

aging of year could we measure?
Galvatron3000, you are an @$$. If you had a brain in your little head you’d be dangerous.
Check out Galvatron’s word choice. In the comments alone, there are numerous buzz-words and talking points about “Bush, corporations, unnecessary war, so-called terrorist, anything not to do with the military, huge numbers for the military, and Bush, Bush, Bush.”
I think the public has done a fine job of notifying people like her (him? get the feeling it’s “her”) that they disagree with Obama’s policies…..and that BO has shown he is a not-too-bright shill for those who would deny American exceptionalism and then go about setting the rules to make it so.
Bush loved his country. The bottom line is that from Gavitron’s article,,she’s in with the “fundamentally transform America” crowd. I think the Kool-Aid wears off by age 30, at the latest.
Check your writing style guide. The only time to use an apostrophe for it’s, is as a contraction — “it is” equals it’s.
He hasn’t fixed anything. Almost half of our doctors said that if Obamacare is passed and implemented, they’ll stop practicing medicine! There are so many horrors in that monster that all it will do is drive every small business in the country under.
We need to get rid of both parties, END CORPORATE WELFARE, put tariffs on everything imported, take back what is OURS and investigate every last power broker for fraud, corruption and various crimes. Then they need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, although our prisons may cost us more than medicare and social security combined!!!
Say what you will, imho and the opinion of so very many others, our government and our corporations are totally corrupted and therefore cannot be trusted to act in anyone’s interest except their own. Do we need to become another Haiti with enemies invading our shores before we ‘get it’???
George Bush was not the greatest President, but he never had 10% unemployment like we see under Obama. Reforming health care was important, but not mandating it for everyone and making one tax payer pay for someone else’s insurance. He has done nothing but made health care more expensive for businesses and individuals, which is assured to keep our unemployment at 10% for awhile. You don’t need to be an expert to see that he and his democratic allies are singlehandedly destroying this Country financially, economically and militarily. You can keep your rose colored glasses on if you like, but common sense Americans will continue to rely on the facts and see the true reality of what is really going on. This delusional President who insists on using his own personal “jobs saved or created” stat helps no one except a very fragile, weak and thin skinned man called Obama!

Using “hippies” as an example of a positive aspect of American society is bewildering. More accurately they should be referred to as “Red Diaper” babies since they were nourished on morsels of from the communist manifesto. Read it. Counter-culture, free love, anti- family, anti-religion, anti-business, and anti-traditions. You only left out race and class warfare. If you read the manifesto, you will see that your perspectives parallel the communist perspective. Bottom line, if you are still focused on Dem and Rep parties, then your analysis is myopic.
This article is looking pretty foolish now. Bush is looking better and better each day Obama is in charge.
Obama has fixed nothing. Everything he touches gets worse. His healthcare scam is driving health insurance costs through the roof.
When foolish people slobber all over somebody who has accomplished absolutely nothing in his life except somehow get elected to the Presidency (with the help of a corrupt media), it usually comes back to bite them in the butt.
Bush was bad…Obama is much, much worse.
The guy hasn’t even finished his term, and you’re already comparing him to someone who crashed two continuous terms?
Obama isnt perfect, this article is about how he could have performed better on a specific situation, but I have yet to see him crash the entire US economy, start a war for oil or influence and sign something like the Patriot Act (even if he increased the term of a specific piece of it).
Oh my gawd!
