Indian Government won the confidence vote successfully. This will help to carry on the reforms speedily.
Can Indian political scenario have consequence at international level? Yes, as the nuclear deal will have global repercussions. There were considerable debates over the issue of Nuclear Deal in Indian parliament. But Manmohan managed to sail through the competition successfully. Following facts need to be highlighted candidly:
What was the reason for political crisis? While debate about nuclear deal was taken up, the communist party of India withdrew their support to the Government due to difference of opinion over nuclear deal. Consequently, there was heavy pressure on the Government to prove its majority in the Parliament. Can you guess why the Government won the vote of confidence in the parliament? - Power crazy politicians chase consistently for enviable position
- People wanted to avoid re-election that could have cost enormous amount of money from the exchequer
- If new Government comes to power, there would have been considerable changes in policy decisions

- Controlling inflation
- Managing subsidies
- To develop Indian economy, which has been affected due to uncertain political scenario
- To enhance the phase of industrial development
- To achieve ambitious agricultural growth
If the Government is successful in convincing the people in respect of policies, the chance of regaining power in the forthcoming election will be better. However, if it fails to satisfy people, a new Government will be formed, probably under the leadership of L.K. Advani, the leader of the opposition party.
