If Thanksgiving 2008 Was the First

Last month America celebrated another Thanksgiving. What do you think the Pilgrims would have encountered if they landed in 2008 instead of 1620? Taking into consideration life as we are now experiencing it in the 21^st century 

I give you Thanksgiving 2008.

Plymouth Rock, November 22, 2008;

Headline: A BOAT LOAD OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARRESTED IN MASS.

Story: The Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol greeted and immediately arrested the occupants of the Mayflower as they set foot on the shores of Plymouth Rock. An anonymous source who asked not to be identified told this reporter we suspect this is some fanatical terrorist group because of the way they dressed and talked. (What’s with the black top hats, clothing and silver belt buckles the men were wearing and we were also told the women are required to wear black dresses and their heads must remain covered at all times.) An interpreter had to be brought in from Philadelphia that spoke fluent Quaker as no one could understand what was meant when they kept saying “thee and thou.”

Headline: New York Times: SUSPECTED TERRORIST LEADER MILES STANDISH INTERROGATED WITHOUT PRESENCE OF AN ATTORNEY;

Story: The leader of the Pilgrims that landed at Plymouth Rock, Miles Standish was whisked away to some unknown location by agents of the Department of Homeland Security where he was interrogated and allegedly tortured according to our sources in the State Department. The Democratic controlled Congress has called for an immediate investigation and the closing of the prison housing the Pilgrims at Martha’s Vineyard. The ACLU has filed suit in Federal Court on behalf of Mr. Standish.

Talk Shows;

“Larry King” – CNN: Mrs. Miles Standish was interviewed by TV Talk Show Host Larry King. Mrs. Standish told him that the Pilgrims had escaped from a tyrannical government in England seeking religious freedom. She said they merely wanted to be able to practice their Christian beliefs without fear of harassment or intimidation. A caller to the show identifying himself only as a member of the ACLU said he was filing a class action lawsuit on behalf of that organization against the Pilgrims for wanting to express their Christian beliefs in public and government facilities. “There is no place in American Society today for the expression of religious or moral values,” the caller said.

“Bill O’Reilly,” – Fox News: The talking points on the O’Reilly Factor challenged the main stream media and the kool-aid drinking left wing loons and pinheads support of the illegal immigrant Pilgrims. “What a bunch of “Turkey’s” Mr. O’Reilly said as he “opined” about a proposed national holiday being established commemorating the illegal landing at Plymouth Rock.

Editorials: The Washington Post: “The Undocumented immigrant Pilgrims should be able to receive driver’s licenses.” “It would be to the government’s advantage in keeping track of the Pilgrims if they are allowed to be issued driver’s licenses. It doesn’t matter if they will probably drive on the wrong side of our roads as that is what they are accustomed to in their native England.

Counter Editorial: None could be found as the mainstream media does not permit opposing opinions as they are deemed stupid, politically incorrect and insensitive by the so-called intellectually elite.

Jay Leno, “The Tonight Show”: “What about those Pilgrims, they land on Plymouth Rock illegally and now they have the audacity to demand “a piece of the rock.” And if that isn’t bad enough they want a no smoking section of tables at next years Thanksgiving Feast.”
