Known originally as “The Festival of Festivals”, the Toronto International Film Festival was founded in 1976 at the Windsor Arms Hotel. TIFF has grown since, but is still centered in Yorkville, an upscale neighborhood with luxury hotels, movie theatres, cafes and night clubs.
