United States Deployed 17,000 Troops to Reinforce the Front Line in Afghanistan
The U.S. president, Barack Obama, acting in his capacity as commander in chief, yesterday ordered the dispatch of additional troops to Afghanistan to reinforce the U.S. Army in its fight against Taliban insurgents and Al Qaeda terrorist cells which take refuge on that country’s border with Pakistan.
