Labour are Only Protecting Their Electoral Self Interests

The UK Parliament is currently debating the Voting and Constituencies Bill which will pave the way for a referendum on the Alternative Voting (AV) system, along with an equalisation of the Parliamentary Constituencies.

The Labour Party, although AV was a manifesto promise, will vote against this bill citing the coalition’s apparent “gerrymandering” of the electoral boundaries.

They are, in fact, only protecting their own self serving interests.
