Instead of logging on and finding out where your friends are via GPS apps, logon and find the last known locations of current fugitives. If there is a warrant out for your arrest, then it’s warranted for you to be posted on this website.
Abbott Koloff of northjersy.com reported that the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office announced the site, FaceCrook, on Tuesday June 22, 2012 though they had been running it for the past few weeks.
Currently, only Superior Court issued warrants for Bergen County crimes will be featured on “FaceCrook”, but this could be the beginning of a whole new type of social site. Inspector Mickey Bradley said, “We believe it’s going to lower our warrant count.”
Warrants are issued for everything from not paying parking tickets and failing to appear in court, failure to pay child support to murder. Users create a nice little map showing fugitives’ last known addresses with pins after they search for fugitives by name, street address, town or ZIP code. Clicking the pin gives an option to call the Sheriffs’ phone tip line or an anonymous text message link. Charges of the fugitives are not displayed but future versions could include them.
Bounty hunters are going to have a field day with this website. Visit the site here: FaceCrook
