A Somali Octogenerian Marries a Wife 95 Years His Junior

A 112 year old Somali Elder a few weeks a go completed his dream wedding to his sixth wife who is 17 years old and actually, 95 years his junior. Mohamad is said to have fought against the Italian Colonizers in the 1930s when he was already  about 35 years!

It took him a  long negotiation with his prospective in-laws to win the heart of his 17 year old sweet heart. He aleady had 5 wives and 8 children, some of whom are in their 80s with a number of great grand children. Indeed, some of his oldest children have died of old age but this senior citizen is still committed to the duty of multiplying and filling the world.

His wedding was attended by hundreds of Somalis who regarded it as a spectacular event in the books of  history because it is very likely that no marriage any where in the world has been recorded with such a gaping age difference between the parties involved. There was feasting and a momentary illusion of  peace and merriment  that people felt after the usually  deep concern for safety in a country like Somalia where there are more stampedes and bomb blasts than drums of joy amd feasts.

He made the world know that he was a happy man. The young wife was also not willing to be out done in her expression of joy. She made the world know the she loved her 112 year old hubby and was very prepared to serve him and bear him children as a symbolism of their undying love
