Finally Captain Phillips has been freed.

What a wonderful Easter for the family of Captain Phillips and the world after his rescue from the Somalian Pirates yesterday. Finally after four days of being in a lifeboat in the middle of the Indian Ocean he is safe.
Snipers shot and killed three of the pirates and rescued the Captain. Though he is safe and awaiting to find out when he will be able to fly home to be with his family, people in Malaysia are concerned about the hostages the pirates still have captive from other countries.
Now that the military stepped in they are worried that this may escalate the pirates activity. One of the pirates leaders has vowed to seek revenge because of his commrads that were shot and killed. He also made a statement by phone to Associated Press, that from now on if the Countries of the ships they take over get involved their hostages will be killed.
There are still 228 foreign nationals who are being held captive and their families are worried about them due to the violence and vowed revenge statements from the pirates.
Vilma de Guzman, a wife of a Filipino sailor of a tanker, said her husband is one of 22 crew members that has been held hostage since November 10,2008. What about them and their safety?
It seems the pirates have had many hostage but have only killed one of their captives and it is not clear what really happened. Most of the people who have been held say they were treated well and was fed well while they were captives of the pirates.
So far this year the pirates have attacked seventy four ships and had takeovers. Last years total was one hundred and eleven. With us only being in April and with this many attacks and takeovers what will the end of this year bring? I do believe many more than one hundred eleven unless these villains are stopped as soon as possible so as not to be able to continue on this vengeful path.
At least one thing has been accomplished with Captain Phillips being freed and his safety upheld. I do hope other countries take what happened with the Unites States to heart and do the same for their fellow men. This truly does have to stop and be ended entirely.

Great update. So scary to be on the seas these days, though!
This was wonderful news to hear. They are at it again though. Its crazy! I think we should send BoJack and Stephen over there to teach these pirates a lesson!!
I am so happy that the Capt. is safe! What a brave and honorable man.
three Navy SEAL snipers, three shots and three dead pirates. looks like somebody heard what i said the other day.
I think so DA we would have snorkled the hostage out of the life boat and back to dry land by boring a hole in the end of it…
On a serious note though they have 228 people from other countries and the ransom for them will be trippled and a time frame will be put in place and because of the unsability in Somalia itself it will certain death if they are not paid…
