Chronicling the current economic, environmental, and political crisis ravaging the state of Zimbabwe. It calls for action by the International Community to rescue the situation.

The throbbing pain of Zimbabwe may persist if the International Community cannot rise to the occasion and save a terrorized nation like Zimbabwe from the shackles of oppression that has held it bound since Independence until now. It is no news that the economy of this nation wallows while people exchange salaries for meager food that can last only a few days. The socio-economic status of the land of honor now turned horror daily depreciates beyond what humans can comprehend, and this leaves up to wonder ‘who lives in Zimbabwe: humans or animals?’ definitely, the inhabitants of this land are more precious to us than mere animals; their worth can not in any ramification be compared to primates. It is therefore important that this land be served from the impending homicide that looms on it. Well, if you care to know there are a thousand and one factor that is responsible for the ravaging diseases especially cholera that consumes these countrymen.

One may question the leadership of Mugabe, its apparent ruler, and the tenacity with which he holds on power. It behooves on us to ask: is it love to watch your countrymen die, and refuse the yearnings of the International community because of an obnoxious belief that they do not want to serve your interest? Is it patriotism or cannibalism for your people to walk up to the news of a dying child or a dead uncle and still call yourself the ruler in such a plaque? Is it then wise to watch while our world is once again passively smoked in primitive terrorism that now holds national independence? The media could have overblown the issue but that is not an excuse to watch humans die and all we are able to do is send relief measures. This therefore means that the International community including the African Union, the European Union and the United Nations coalesce and find a lasting solution to the danger that may soon leave the boundaries of this nation and extend its tentacles beyond the walls of nations. Change is contagious so is evil. We cannot watch as we see humans like us live in conditions only suitable to fugitives and we show no concern. I understand that this is hard time for Zimbabwe and an unfortunate incidence for Mugabe, but time has come for all to join hands together to save yet another land from local imperialism.

This may not be a true signal of how African leaders behave but it shows that a leader is not he who watches as his countrymen perish and continually engages in national and international arguments to sustain his office. But the leader of the people is that individual whose ultimate concern is not the maintenance of a few high class personnel who obey his commands but the passionate humane to preserve all and sundry above all odds. My intention is not to cast blames on any but to awaken us from our slumber before our sleep gets shortened by the noise of neighboring catastrophe which we ignored while it was still far away. Let’s join hands to rescue Zimbabwe from the hands of both local and international scavengers before Mugabe drops this nation in garbage!
