If THE Terrorists Capture Pakistani Nuclear Arsenal, What Will Happen?

IF THE TERRORISTS CAPTURE PAKISTANI NUCLEAR ARSENAL, WHAT WILL HAPPEN?

The whole world is no sceptical about the ability of the Pakistan government to protect its nuclear arsenal falling into the hands of the Taliban and through them Al Qaeda. Previously the terrorists mounted only sectarian attacks on the minorities including the Shias and the Ahmedia Muslims and their religious places. Terrorists were afraid to directly confront the Pakistani army and the police. Not so anymore. Now a days there are everyday attacks and mostly directed at the Pakistan army. High level politicians are getting butchered by the terrorists and even by their own body guards. Last week a challenging attack was mounted on Pakistan naval base in Karachi and a couple of high tech airplanes were totally damaged.

Terrorists are no more afraid of the army and the government. They are prepared to even sacrifice their lives for their ‘causes’. Their attacks are increasingly becoming successful. The army and the government are losing hopes day by day. The day is not far off when the Taliban takes over the citadel of power in Pakistan. Before that the country’s nuclear arsenal may fall into the hands of the Taliban. What will then happen? To imagine what will happen sends cold shivers down the spine. Adrenaline flows and fear grips the mind.

There may be about fifty nuclear bombs in Pakistan’s possession (this is my guesswork only) which is meant to be dropped on Indian cities in case of exigency. If the Taliban captures all the fifty nuclear bombs, the first thing they will do is to smuggle out all the bombs out of Pakistan and to a safe place or places. There may be a dozen places where these bombs will be stored – in a place four or five bombs. These places may not be Pakistan or Afghanistan – but in Central Asia, Africa, Middle East and even in some European countries. The Taliban will not use all the bombs in a rash manner and exhaust them. Thorough planning will be done and targets chosen carefully. The first target is likely to be United States. Three or four bombs may be used in big US cities like Texas, Kansas, and New York etc. When millions of Americans die and much more suffer from nuclear fall out, the United States will not keep quiet and will use its nuclear weapons and destroy Pakistan totally. But to what purpose? Not a single terrorist will die in such a destruction because they would have already moved out of Pakistan. Only innocent Pakistanis will die in American retaliation. Worse still, Americans will have to count days before more bombs are dropped on their cities.

The second target is likely to be Western Europe. Here, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark and France are likely targets. A single bomb is enough to finish off a country like Netherlands.

The next target is likely to be Israel. Here again, a single bomb is enough to wipe out Israel from the world map to satisfy the Iranian President Ahmednijad.

The next target will be undoubtedly India. Big cities like New Delhi, Kolkatta, Mumbai and Chennai will be aimed at.

The final target will be China because China has been subjugating the freedom if the Uighur Muslims in its Xinjiang province. A couple of bombs on Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Canton will disintegrate the closed Chinese society. Not only the Uighur Muslims but also Tibetans also will gain freedom and China will go to pieces the way the Soviet Union went in 1990 without nuclear arsenal.

The cycle will then turn towards USA again and the Taliban will use some more bombs to bring more destruction on Americans. USA as a country will be weakened, its superpower status lost and half of its citizens already dead with the remaining half either blind or having lost their limbs and writhing in pain. The only super power now will be the Arab countries with perhaps Iran or Saudi Arabia leading the race.

One may be tempted to laugh at all these high propositions. One may even dismiss them as far fetched and figment of imagination. But these things are bound to happen sooner than later if the international community and particularly the Americans keep quiet. It is high time to act. America should intervene forcibly and denuclearise Pakistan. American military should be permanently stayed in Pakistan and they should watch the activities of Pakistani establishment. After all, USA is particular that Germany and Japan are not allowed to produce and possess nuclear weapons because of their ignominious role during the Second World War. The same sort of control should be exercised over Pakistan, the rogue state now. The world should remember that the epicentre of terrorism is in Pakistan. If America and the West imagine that all the nuclear weapons in Pakistan’s possession are directed only against India and not against them, they are living in a fool’s paradise. No doubt India will suffer, but America and the will be destroyed. The terrorists are not fools to waste the entire fifty bombs or most of them against India. They have more grievance against USA and the West than against India. America, Act now to save yourself.
