Government of India waived interest of educational loans.
Recently government of India has waived the interest on Educational loans across the country,but there are a number of questions from students and people in the country regarding this.Some the common doubts regarding the scheme can be eliminated from this brief summary.
The scheme is applicable to all eligible educational loan accounts within the country,The eligible accounts are the Educational loan accounts from which amount is disbursed on or after April 2010 ,irrespective of the sanction date of the Educational loan.
To make it clear only the amount disbursed after April 2010 are eligible for interest waiver scheme,and it is applicable for persons whose family income is less than Rs 2 lakh per annum

I have taken education loan from UCO bank in kolkata in the year 2010-11 for B.E. and i have paid interest of one year. Sir am i eligible for interest free education loan scheme?When I asked about this scheme to bank manager than he said that they have no information for Interest free educational loan..what can i do sir..plz help me..
