A Malaysian women saves her husband from a hungry tiger with the most unlikely weapon, a kitchen ladle.
Han Besau, a 55-year old woman from Perak, Northern Malaysia heard the screams of her husband, Tambun and rushed out only to see a tiger attacking him. With no time to waste, she came to his rescue with a large wooden soup ladle. Police said that she clubbed the tiger on the head and managed to chase it away successfully.

Her husband, Tambun was hunting squirrels at a jungle near his home when the tiger attacked him. He tried to escape by climbing a tree but the tiger dragged him down. He also punched the tiger in the face but that did not stop it from attacking him. Tambun wrestled with the tiger to keep its jaws away from him. According to him, if his wife had not come to his aid, the tiger would have clawed him to death.
Tambun who suffered lacerations on his face and legs is now being treated at the hospital. The state wildlife department is trying to track down the tiger and chase it further away into the remote parts of the jungle where there are no inhabitants.
The next time you venture into a jungle, always remember to bring two things along. A large wooden soup ladle and a loving wife. They have proven to be life savers for one man.

This must be the most auspicious Valentine gift any man could get from a loving wife!
Amazing – she is the new Xena Warrior Princess. Brave!
Great Story.
Never mess with a woman who has kitchen utensils.
What? That was awesome indeed. The many women I know would micturate in their pants upon seeing a tiger leave alone scream for help.
The tiger thought she was coming to cook him. Tiger soup..hmm
One brave woman.
Courageous woman and lucky man.
The tiger must have seen the fire in the woman’s eyes and decided it’s not a battle worth fighting for. After all, that’s the power of the love of a wife to a husband….risking one’s own life to save the other. And yes, don’t forget the soup ladle. LOL!
The guy is really lucky with his wife. Now I know a soup ladle can be a weapon. LOL
good share
Did the lady receive a medal for bravery? Fabulous post my friend, as usual. Take care Sharif.
LOL, laugh all the way to the loo. The tiger was very lucky, if I were the woman, I may use knife or chopper, depends.
So this soup ladle thing really happened, know what, this one reminds me of my 2 post, one post with title “don’t copy if you can’t paste” about the wife who used soup ladle and burnt the husband, another post which was a haiku “nourishing tiger soup”, so these 2 joined and became real, you see, this can happen, not jokes.
Hey, this is call “woman power”, so now you know how powerful or powderful we are. +_+
Oh I like that Sharif. You can rely on a woman to use her imagination in a tricky situation. I am so glad she was able to save her hubby. Nice work.

What a really well written report.
Now I’m ready with my soup ladle and my husband. Where’s the tiger? Got to find one to see if it really works. lol An inspiring post Sharif.
Wow, I’m thinking whether I dare to do same thing.
In times of emergencies, you can’t really tell how you will be able to help your love ones from danger,it was her first instinct to help his husband whatever weapon she immediately got on her hand. Horrible but great rescue!
what a miracle! A true love is always there for you.
i like it.

wow that’s amazing! -not quite on the same scale but still takes me back to when I was a little kid in my back garden – a vicious alsatian dog from across the way had managed to escape its tether and came charging towards me – all i had was a plastic tennis racket in my hand – insttinctively I bopped it on the nose with the racket and to my immense relief it whimpered , turned tail and ran away!!
What a brave amazing woman and a lucky man…. It is kind of romantic in a way. It would make a good short story.
Thanks for sharing
Bravery and love demonstrated to the fullest. Amazing.
Good info friend, Thanks
That dude must have knocked his head in pretty good!
Wow – a fine example of how to never underestimate a womans capabilities it seems. But a soup ladle? I’m extremely impressed. A great article Sharif.

A loving wife and a wooden ladle, well, what more is there to life! Love the way you’ve told this story Sharif. I missed seeing it when it was first published.
An interesting and happy news. You give good advice to men who are going to jungle.
