So this new TV show “Perth Girls are Easy” is set to be as big as “The Only Way is Essex” but what consequences will this bring for the small central Scottish town?
It was revealed in the Daily Sport that a new TV called “Perth Girls are Easy” is set to be as big as “The Only Way Is Essex” and “It’s all about Amy” but what exactly does the show entail.
Apparently the show will be following the “bed hopping antics of the lads and lasses in the boozy central Scottish town”. First off, SINCE WHEN HAS PERTH BEEN A BOOZY TOWN?! We only have two major nightclubs, City and the Loft. (Zoo can hardly be called a nightclub).
As for the “bed hopping antics”? Only a small number of teenagers sleep around like that. So highlighting that there are a small number of sluts and manwhores in Perth is a good idea? There are more people like that in big cities so why pick on a small town like Perth?
Being a Perth girl myself I feel sickend that such a TV is going to exist. Do the producers of the show know what this implies to the majority of girls in Perth who don’t sleep around? To the rest of the country we are going to be known as good-for-nothing sluts. To be honest I’m thinking of moving out of Perth. I don’t care where to right now so long as I’m out and not a Perth girl at the time the show beginnings airing. Also dear producers I know a hell of a lot more guys that sleep around so why not change the Title to “Perth Boys are easy?!”.
Also Perth is going to get a lot of bad publicity from this. I mean would you want a business in a town where such a show was filmed? Really? If I were a business owner I’d want to stay well clear of a town with reputation like that.
Should the show make it to airing I for one will not be watching it.
Its really disgusting that they are thinking of ruining the reputation of Perth’s girls like that! It could mean that girls will find it harder to find jobs after this stupid idea of a show! I mean who would want a “Perth Skank” working for them?

I’m guessing no one has thought that tayside has the highest rate of teen pregnancy in the uk and that they are doing this to try and make girls and guys from Perth ashamed so it doesn’t happen…that’s why tayside police liked the page… I’m a Perth girl who doesn’t sleep around and I know for a fact that this is just going to spur it on, people will feel more under pressure because they will be forced to act on this stereotype.. Even though they wouldn’t normally do it, I know my friends feel under pressure because the show may air.. Why should we be stereo-typed because of about 1/20th of teenage girls in Perth act like sluts… I’m fifteen and I don’t care what people think of me, but others do and this show may cause them to feel more self concious I think it’s a terrible idea and I’m definetly signing a petition to stop it..

Kate, you sound very mature and sensible for your age. I hadn’t considered that Tayside has the highest teenage pregnancy rate in the UK but expanding on that Tayside is more than just Perth alone, Dundee is another Tayside town. I don’t particularly care what people think of me, but I’d really rather like to be able to go to other towns throughout the UK and be able to say “I’m from Perth” without getting a response of “Oh my god, you slut” or “ewww” -.-’

This show would have a dramatic negative effect on the City of Perth for so many different reasons! Why why why would any young girl sign herself up for this! It\’s morally wrong for anyone to make one out of any individual who is in the incorrect mind set to think this is going to benefit them in any way shape or form. WRONG WRONG WRONG. Could it go as far as to effect our house prices??? would any find Perth the perfect place to move there family to after seeing 5 mins of a show like this? Young people behave like this in every town but it doesn\’t need highlighted. Some amount of the behaviour is going to be just being young and experimenting. Most behaviour will be due to deep and underlying issues in the life of the individual. So which ever way you look at it, should someone be filmed while they make the biggest mistakes of there life. The sort of mistakes that will shape them for the future to come, that will make them into the adults thats they want to become? And / or should entertainment be made out of the vulnerable you need some guidance in life to get them to where they need to be and not on a continuing downward spiral???
I agree with Angemals!! Its totally stupid to film drunk people having sex when they won’t remember it and most likely regret it! I also agree with the housing side that Angemals has raised. Who on Earth would want to move to somewhere portrayed as a boozy town?! No one!
