The beautiful Island of Samoa is struck by a Tsunami on Tuesday, September 29, 2009.

An earthquake of a magnitude between 8.0 and 8.3, which triggered a tsunami in the Pacific Ocean near the island of Samoa, killed nearly 100 people and dozens are still missing.

Remaining people are fleeing from their residence to higher levels to save their lives. Samoa’s strength is nearly 65,000 people.

President Obama issued a major disaster declaration for the territory of American Samoa Tuesday evening, and asked to keep the safety of life and rescuing people as the high priority.
Samoa Islands were believed to be originally inhabited as early as 1000 BC and it was not reached by European explorers until the eighteenth century.
Hope GOD gives courage and strength for people of Samoa to come over this natural disaster.










yeah ,i heard about it so sad and i guess that is causing disturbance in bay of Bengal as well and hence most of the east coasts are getting flooded..at least thats what i heard in the news channels last night..
A natural disaster and we can do nothing to prevent. Sad.

it reminds me of that terrific tsunami which rocked south asia.. still i cant forget what i saw on that fateful day.
