FLIGHT AF 447

On the morning of Monday the 2nd of June 2009, radio contact was lost with an Air France Airbus 330-200, The flight was returning from Brazil heading for Paris when the plane was lost on the radar, The exact location is not known but is believed to be 200 miles off the coast of Brazil in an area which consists of 21 islands,

The possibility of a hijacking has been ruled out and the cause is believed to have been a technical fault which may have caused the plane to crash, The plane had sent a message reporting an electrical short circuit after flying through a storm while experiencing some very strong turbulence, It has been said that a strike of lightning could have caused  the flight to go down but this can’t be proven at this stage,

The plane was a Airbus 330-200 and had 216 passengers on board + 12 crew making a total of 228 lives that could have been lost, A aircraft have been sent to the area to help search for the missing flight but the area is so vast that the chances of survival look very poor,

Air France’s last air disaster was back in July 2000 when a Concord crashed shortly after take off killing all on board and 4 on the ground.
