Today the citizens of Greece are on strike and are protesting in the streets and heading toward Parliament.

This article is a follow up to an article I wrote yesterday:

Greece Just Got Blackmailed by The International Monetary Fund (IMF)

The people of Greece are quite aware of what is happening to them. As an observer, I feel very proud of and for these citizens for standing up for their beliefs. I’m in awe of a country so in touch with how their leaders are selling them out and screwing them over. GO PEOPLE OF GREECE!

Greece is not unlike America. We have similar problems with debt, government and general corruption. The only difference is that Americans choose to look the other way instead of facing the corruption head on. The Greeks may have waited too long and its probably too late, but I applaud the response, none the less. They know they were just bought by the IMF. They know what their future holds with that massive debt hanging over the current and following generations. They know they were set up. They know that it was their corrupt leaders that got them in this position.

What will happen to Greece? I don’t know. As I write this, the rioting is getting worse and has become violent. It is very clear that the people of Greece want the nothing to do with the IMF or their shady loans. Hopefully the people of Greece will have a fair say in the future of their country.
