We have seen an incredible amount of flooding in the United States and Europe is not immune to the same natural disasters. These are pictures of the recent flooding in France.

In the United States, we have had some serious flooding in 2010. In fact, flooding was pretty serious in some of the Midwest, last year as well. But most recently, over the last few weeks, in the Midwest, we have seen deadly flash flooding in both Arkansas and Oklahoma. It seems that we are not the only area on the globe suffering from this kind of natural disaster…

Southern France has also had some horrendous flooding this year. Draguignan, France has been devastated with flash flooding that has killed 25 people.  At the time of writing this, 13 people are still missing. Hundreds of livestock animals drowned during this disaster and workers have been busy removing them, hoping to lessen the chance of water contamination. During the flooding, locals took refuge on the tops of their homes, trying to escape the raging water. French President, Nicolas Sarkozy will be visiting the area on Monday, to meet with locals and asses the situation. Draguignan has a population of about 40,000 people. 2,000 troops were sent in to locate victims and clean up the devastated area.
