Pedophile Disemboweled in UK Prison

A prisoner who bragged about his offenses was disemboweled in prison on Saturday.
For many criminals, especially those who sexually assault people, it’s often in prison they are made to suffer for their crimes. Many men are raped, sexually assaulted, or murdered in prison. Mitchell Harrison (23) a serial sex offender, Saturday found the latter awaited him.
When Mitchell Harrison was sentenced to four years in prison for raping a 13-year-old girl he seemed proud of his crime. Harrison was sent to the notorious Frankland Prison, home of child killer Ian Huntley (who last year had his throat cut). When quizzed by other inmates, Harrison would brag about the intricacies of his sexual exploits (this the third time he was caught for sexual offences on minors). It’s this bragging that is thought to have ended his life.
On Saturday morning, having made makeshift weapons out of toothbrushes and razors, two inmates at Frankland prison confronted Harrison in his cell, slit open his stomach, and to ensure he was dead pulled out some of his internal organs onto the floor, essentially disemboweling him.
The two men (as yet unnamed) aged 23 and 32 then cleaned themselves up, went to eat breakfast, then turned themselves into officers for the crime, which at that point had gone undetected.
Harrison’s previous offices included sexual assault on a 7 year old when he was 13, and stalking and threatening to rape a 15-year-old classmate in his school. In his boasts however Harrison stated he had committed more offences than he had been found guilty of. He was sentenced to prison after luring a 13-year-old into a flat and raping her twice.
Officials state that the scene of the murder was extreme, and almost ritualistic in its detail. Many of those who saw the scene, stated they had never seen anything quite so horrific. The murder was not only a killing; it was a message to other prisoners. Most prisoners tend to keep quiet about their offences, but it is claimed that Harrison never stopped talking about his, a fact that ultimately contributed to his death.

Sounds as if it couldn’t have happened to a nicer bloke but I don’t envy the poor prison bods who had to clear up after the crime! Afraid we’re far too lax in the UK when it comes to sentencing on serious crime so, harsh though it may seem, I’m not sorry to hear this tale of woe.

We do not have a death penalty in the UK – and even if we did “murder by fellow inmates” is not as exceptable form of execution. No-one, under any circumstances, should cheer about this.

There is no place in a civilised society for treatment of a convicted criminal this way. In some ways I feel the country needs the death penalty so that justice is served cleanly in a civilised way. The worst part for me that people are seeming to forget here is that disembowelling someone is deeply sick. To cut someone and ignore their begging for mercy is just brutal and no one should endure that no matter what. What if HE was your son? (I would never have a paedophile for a son I hear them shout in outrage) But how do you convey this to a world where people are destroyed in hollywood for entertainment. All I can picture is the glee in the murderers minds as society effectively grants them permission to do this to the man. “a real reason to commit violence, great” Merciful chemical castration yes. Brutal heartless debased torture no. The fact that we are enjoying this mans pain says more about us than him quite honestly. My don’t we all feel safe now? People should think of the implications of this for ALL OF US (especially for wrongful convictions) and not just respond with a simple LIKE or DISLIKE
The second part of my post is for what this man did to his victims. It was wrong plain and simple. Some might say sick, others that he is evil. I dont know the individual cases but as with any other disgusting or sick criminals I personally dont get any pleasure from seeing them destroyed or harmed. I just don’t want them to exist or hurt the rest of us. In that sense you could say I am pro death penalty in cases such as these. But it should be clean and quick with as little pain as possible, almost a mercy killing. In some ways I think paedophilia is an assault on the family of the children as much as the children themselves, so for their peace of mind there should be justice, but it is for them, out of respect for what happened to them. I dont think they would want to see suffering, they just want it never to have happened in the first place. Deleting the man from the world would relieve their suffering and serve as a warning, but adding pain and misery to it benefits no one, just contributes to a more brutal society.
Sorry for the long post. When I read the article I just felt utterly sick, and everyones triumphant reactions made it even worse.

To pity this monster is a joke. Did he take pity on his victims? No! Karma is wonderful.
Four years for repeatedly raping a child??? Why shouldn’t the rapist be boastful, the state was never going to properly punish him for his crimes.

It’s true that two wrongs don’t make a right. Killing someone like him should not be left up to the inmates. And yet many of us have a guilty feeling that justice has somehow been served.
I’m a bit old-fashioned, but I think that there are a small number of crimes which society must punish by death. Cold-blooded murder and luring pedophilia of this sort are among them.
Yes, a case can be made that anyone who commits a crime like this is in need of help and may not be fully responsible for their crime. But at some point, people need to know that their government is protecting them from the most dangerous elements in society, however they came to be so dangerous.
So, where is the monster that killed Baby P housed?
If his “victim” was a 13yo girl, he’s not a pedophile. Pedophiles are people sexually attracted to pre-pubescent children. He’s a disgusting pervert and I’m not crying over his murder, but the term “pedophile” is routinely abused and misused in most media outlets.
Actually the legal definition states that a pedophile is anyone who targets children of 13 years or younger.
Looks like same rules apply to child molesters in UK prisons as they do here in the US. As bad as convicted felons are, they have their own code of behavior. Child molesters are the bottom of the barrel and often have to be housed separately from the general prison population. This guy got what was coming to him.
This is what happens when a society doesn’t have the stones to do the dirty work of punishing crime appropriately. Does not imprison pedophiles for an appropriate length of time. Does not have capital punishment for 1st degree murder. Does not insist on civilized behavior in prison. Result: criminals run wild, perverts and murderers operate with pride and largely with impunity. And no, assholes who cheer disembowelment of this pervert, outsourcing the job of punishing crime to other criminals is not something to applaud. This was an act of savagery and was not commensurate with the crime nor is it likely have the effect of deterring other pervs. Also, it means your government has given up on doing it’s job. Yaaay.

If the UK is stupid enough to not have a death penalty why wouldn’t a long term inmate take advantage of the situation and kill whoever he wants? What are the officials going to do, give me a second life term? Stupid liberals.

I’ll never understand people who are against the death penalty. If you kill someone for kicks you deserve the death penalty. So do pedophiles. How the death penalty is dished out is a legitimate topic for discussion. But when the courts won’t do what needs to be done I’m not going to hold it against other prisoners for administering justice their own way.
This is a quite interesting story, that I can handle. To be truly honest, this sick guy got what he deserved. Many rapists and the sorts are left in a cell, some of them are able to go out and be free again while their poor victim’s families and many other people are questioning if it was the right decision to let them go. I’ve read stories of rapists not learning a single lesson and end up back in jail for another rape.

if my child had been raped by this man i would want him dead! rape ruins peoples lives.. some people can never live a happy ‘normal’ life after being sexually assaulted. do the crime do the time! and if your going to brag about what you have done then your bragging to the wrong people in prison! how many more times was he going to get hold of young children and sexually abuse them? our justice system is pathetic also.. poor children he had assaulted i say!

I can’t get on board with the people who felt this man was wronged by being killed in this horrid way. He started his criminal endeavours at the age of 13; that we know of. Can you imagine the neighbourhood teen forcing himself upon your 7y/o? Then finding out that at the age of 23 this same man is being convicted a 4th time for similar crimes. To top it off there are offences he’s not been convicted of. Well he’s had a busy 23yrs. In his short life he’s managed to ruin the lives of hundreds. The direct victims, their families, their friends and the sense of security for the citizens of the towns he’s lived in. I don’t often rejoice in the gruesome murder of a fellow human being and i don’t in this case either. But i do say good riddance!!! To what may have been the next jeffery dahmer or Richard Baker just to name a few.

There is no easy way to say this, pedophiles are hated everywhere and there is a code of inmates to kill any sex offender.It is easy to notice that they do that because they can’t stand such behavior and because their families are outside the prison walls. They fear their daughters and wives or anyone related to them may be the next victim. I completely disagree with that for I don’t think it is right to take manners into your own hands, we have laws for that. Here in Brazil, for example, they don’t even wait till people to go to jail. If anybody learns one is a sex offender, a mob will gather and lynch him/her to death. I see that everyday on the news here. Last time It was a guy that raped a 12 yo girl: people knocked his house down, took him out, cast stones of all sizes on top of him till crushing, then beat him with bats, grabbed a broomstick and spitted him from his an*s to his head before burning him still alive.There is no excuse here in Brazil.People here have had it. I don’t think pedophiles are human so I have no problem with them ring killed. The death of a pedophile affects me no more than the pulling up of a potato or carrot or the picking of an apple…if he wanted to be treated like a human being then perhaps he should have acted like one!
