I’ve read some comments saying that marijuana is often laced with other drugs. This is completely false. Instead of just stupidly absorbing the propaganda, try genuinely thinking about it for a minute. What kind of drug dealer would lace his marijuana with another drug without the buyer knowing? Do you people realize that PCP, cocaine, and almost all other drugs that marijuana could be laced with cost much more money than marijuana? Maybe it’s laced with rat poison? Well if the buyer dies, the dealer isn’t going to be getting any more business from him. Money is the only thing dealers care about. Unless the buyer wants it laced and the dealer charges more for it, you will never unknowingly buy laced marijuana.

And no the Government has never payed any money to any cigarette stopping charities without around 200 scientific papers being documented. Also why would most of the them give money to these charities when they smoke themselves.

Frosty Johnson- I am sorry to disappoint you but whatever your source for your information is I suggest that you find a new one. Fact (true unlike your ones) smoking is the fourth largest killer in England alone. Fact (also true) Coffee contains 2 ‘harmful’ chemicals, Cigarettes contain more than 4000 (including rocket fuel and more than 200 cancer causing chemicals). Also you are obviously a chain smoker who has just thought that they would make up random facts to try and justify this horrible ‘habit’ which has caused so much devastation. Finally before i go i shall add that alcohol may not kill but can seriously harmyour liver and causes strokes. Thank you and goodnight.

No need to blame the government. Most people should be able to think through what they are doing. The government can spew whatever facts/false facts they want, but it is ultimately a person’s judgment that matters. They’re all harmful, ’nuff said.

Making cannabis legal for the use of everyone is… foolish. Alcohol is enough of a problem, although I wouldn’t propose to make it illegal. Cannabis, however, should not be legal unless for medical purposes. Why? People would be high all the time. That would negatively effect society. More people would high on the job, high during school, high during social events… high for their whole lives if they could get away with it.

I’ve been a long time user and fan of MDMA, but I don’t like the negative side effects and health problems that are associated with it; so I was in route for a legal healthier alternative. The closest thing on the market is a product called, Trip2Night that can give you similar euphoric effects and lasts around 5 to 6 hours.

How iresponsible this article could be.I myself is a 1 pack a day smoker and I know smoking kills .To tell me that I should be smoking canabis or taking in ecstacy instead of smoking cigarret is somewhere in between death and more deaths.
They should stop manufacturing those toxic produce to save all the next generations to come.Science should develop real medicine for smokers and businessmen must quit business with clear health issues until further studies.If humankind are healthy enough the biggest world issue can be solve..food productions.

I don’t think it’s ever been difficult to extract information from drug users in the interests of research. Conditions of anonymity have always applied under which they are happy to share

Professor Nutt and others have been producing reports into drug usage since the 70s and these reports are available in their hundreds if not thousands in various journals.

The relevant information is all there (decriminalisation wouldn’t help in that sense) it’s just that the government refuses to make it appropriately available.

Yes, no matter which side of the fence you’re on, the most important thing is accurate information – although i didn’t think that index went far enough: I’d like to see the three separate indexes, and I’d like more drugs listed. We have a right to it, IMO. This is another reason why legalising (or at the least, decriminalising) drugs would be helpful: many drugs are relatively new and we don’t now enough about them to accurately classify them. If people were able to freely admit to drug use, without fear of incrimination or smearing their character (university lecturers and other professionals take drugs, too), we could better trace which drugs cause which medical problems, now or in later life. By forcing people to keep quiet about their substance use, you’re affecting the possibility of accurate research being undertaken. It makes no sense.
