It was long 68 days, 33 Chilean miners were confined in a gold and copper mine at San Jose, near Copiapo of Chile.
The rescue mission has started today.
Today is great 13 October 2010.
13 October 2010, what a great day today!
The world had been waiting for this day. After 68 harrowing days, the Chile miners have started to be rescued.

The accident spot is San Jose mine, near Copiapo, Chile. These 33 miners got collapsed inside the mine on 5 August 2010. Since that day, the world was waiting for their safe rescue day. It was a big challenge to that particular government and as well as for the whole world.
Total 33 miners were confined in a gold and copper mine. The oldest miner is 63 and the youngest is only 19 years old.

This rescue mission was a challenge to the modern science and at last the science got success to do its vested mission for human civilization.


Total sixteen highly trained rescuers are in the mission. They are the members of Chilean special forces and veterans of previous underground rescues. The following rescue video is taken from youtube.

This is one of the feel good stories of 2010. It was a long and terrible wait for the miners and I am delighted that all of them have been successfully rescued,
