The area of the crashed Air France flight has been confirmed.

In the early hours of Monday (01/06/2009) Air France lost radar contact with a flight from Brazil to Paris, The flight had 228 people on board and it’s disappearance was a mystery,

Plane wreckage has been spotted in an area 400 miles off the group of  islands to where they had first believed, Plane seats, life jackets and oil traces could be seen from the air in a area that covers approximately 35 miles, The seach planes say there are no signs of survivors, The black box recorder which could hold the key to the accident is believed to be thousands of feet under the surface,

As no survivors are likely to be found this will be the worst disaster in Air France’s 75 year history,

The Airbus 330-200 flew in to a storm and experienced bad turbulence 4 hours after take off, 15 minutes later a automatic message was sent reporting electrical faults,

Investigators are trying to find possible causes to the planes crash and will want to collect as much of the debris as possible, The theory’s to the crash include that the known electrical fault may have helped, lightening could have made the fuel tanks explode or that the storm had shaken the plane to bits, Finding and recovering the black box recorder will be the biggest clue to this mystery.
