I am somewhat addicted to all the doom and gloom headlines lately!
It’s true! I got sucked into the media vortex that has been dominating headline recently and I am breaking free of it at last. The news in the headlines is all about this and that war being an impending reality and while I do think it is important to stay in touch with current events, it is too easy to become fanatically obessessed with these depressing headlines.
I have several sites bookmarked, including Infowars.com, End the Lie and many others which all shout almost to the point of insanity that we are on the brink of war with one country or another. Then there are all the headlines about the unemployment rates in America being so high. Well, we hardly make anything over here any more so where is the surprise in that!
So I am doing my best to turn away from all of the negativity going on in “reality”. I am forcing myself to get back to my one true passion of writing. The article job that I have has the possiblity of helping me out immensely on the financial side and it gives me so much peace. Why worry about things that I cannot change. Most people in reality DO feed on depressing news and statistics. Sad but true. And I am no longer one of these. We all go through some sort of mental phase where we need the doom and gloom. No explanation for this but I have noticed that it is true all the same.
