As if there was not enough corruption already – Ben Ali, ex-president of Tunisia had a secret treasure found in his palace.

In Tunisia, the rich got richer and the poor got poorer. Ben Ali and his wife are estimated to have control/ possession of 30-40 percent of the Tunisian economy.

Ben Ali and his family are disliked, and even hated by many Tunisians because of their extravagant and luxurious lifestyles. Today, the ex-leader was discovered to have a hidden treasure behined a secret bookshelf in his palace. The treasures included an unknown amount of cash, jewels and gold. 

After a 23 year reign over Tunisia it is a miracle he is finally not in power. France, Switzerland, Canada and European Union have said to freeze the assets of the former president and his family.
