Miracles are not a thing of the past, they still do happen. A very close shave with death while driving in New York is my proof.

There are times when event takes place in ones life that seems miraculous as logical explanations does not justify its occurrence.

I was living in Rosedale in New York at the time of this incident and  woke up one morning in November 2003 and was driving at approximately 40 mph along the Northern Boulevard in Long Island towards my class in Roosevelt Field when all of a sudden I fell asleep behind the wheel.

I did not know how long this time period was but woke up just in time to find the Honda Accord very close to a van and the brakes seems to be useless at that moment due to the wetness of the road and the proximity to the next vehicle.

My instincts led me to make a quick right swerve and when I did the car hit the embankment and spun making a 360 degree turn allowing me to continue as if nothing had happened.

Fortunately for me the cars that were behind me came to a halt so that I escaped unscathed and was able to continue on my way to classes.

During the time the car hit the embankment and made it’s turn I felt overcome by a white glowing atmosphere and it seems as if someone else was driving because my faculties seems disengaged and I was feeling very dazed.

How I did not suffer any damage except for the license plate dislodging, remains a mystery to me until this day.

My only conclusion is that God must have sent an angel to protect me as I always try to pray for protection whenever I am traveling on the road.
