A Five Year Old Girl Impregnated

Although this story happened ages ago I think that it is one of the most strangest occurrence iin human history. That is why I talk about it here today. Her name is Lina Medina and she is the youngest confirmed mother in the entire history of medicine. She is reported to have giving birth at the utterly astonishing age of five years, seven months and 21 days.

Medina’s parents began noticing increasing abdominal size in their daughter. Thinking she had a serious tumor the parents brought their daughter to a hospital, but the doctors upon a careful examination discovered she was seven months pregnant. But how could this happen? It was way too impossible to be TRUE! So the doctor, Gerardo Lozada had another group of specialists examine her and they also came up with the same result – the fiver year old was actually pregnant.

One can only imagine what an utter shock this news might have caused to the parents, family and any one that heard. 

Truly, a month and a half later, on May 14, 1939, little Medina was reported to have given birth to a boy. And the delivery method was by a caesarean section as it was way too impossible for her to give birth the normal way since she had a very small pelvis – of course a pelvis of a five year old.

The baby was a boy and he was reported to have weighed in the region of 2.7 kg at birth. He was named Gerardo, which was after Medina’s doctor.

Now who was the perpetrator of this? Who could have committed this heinous crime to such a little infant?

But all eyes, having know clue to whom might be responsible focused their attention on Medina’s father. He was arrested on suspicion of raping his own daughter, but this wasn’t for long as he was released moments later due to the lack of evidence.

Medina never revealed the father of her child, probably because she herself did not even know as Dr. Escomel said.

The circumstance that led to her impregnation will forever be a mystery.

Anyway Medina’s son Gerardo grew up in a very healthy state, but died in 1979 from a bone marrow disease. He was forty years old.  

This to me, makes one of the strangest stories on earth!
