No, not based off of that book.

I am appalled. The other day I saw an article about a boy who has been constantly bullied since the age of 12 (he is 16 now) and almost no one has done much about it. He appeared in the New York Times. There are pictures of his bruises from getting beat up over and over. On one occasion a bully drove by in his car with his brother and beat the boy up while he was waiting for the school bus in the morning. His brother videotaped it on his cell phone camera. They even created a Facebook group to bash the boy online. That is despicable. The community and school did not do much to help prevent further assaults. As a result he is constantly ending up at the hospital, spitting out blood, covered in bruises of all sorts in all places. His family has tried speaking to the parents of the bullies, but to no avail. So they sued them for damages (medical bills). His mother doesn’t even know if her son’s going to be okay.

It’s really sad to know that it had to end this way…this bullying case has gone too far. He should not have to sue. That bully has way too much control.
