All of the nation was on the edge of their seats Oct. 15 when the news media came out with breaking news.

News that a 6 year old Colorado boy had climbed into a weather balloon, which lifted off into the air.  This is all according to his brother, he claims he saw his brother climb into the balloon and then the balloon took off.  The whole time, all of us thought that this young boy was in this balloon or that he had possibly fallen out of the balloon.  Turns out, he was in the attic hiding in a box!

Now, I am very glad that this young boy is okay and not harmed in any way, but look at the all the time and money with manpower it took to find this boy!

Now, why would the brother say he saw his brother climb into the weather balloon?  Did he really see his brother climb in or did this boy actually climb in and then get back out?  Better yet, was this boy in the attic hiding in this box the whole time?  Plus, where in the hell were his parents?  From what I had heard on the radio this morning, the father took the liberty to call the media before he called 911.  What is up with that?  Doesn’t he know to call 911 if his son is missing or he suspects his son is in that weather balloon?  This all sounds fishy to me and it is screaming publicity!

Then after they find the boy and he’s all safe and sound, the family appears on the Larry King Show on CNN regarding the whole fiasco.  When the father asked why his son didn’t respond, the boy responded by saying, ”You guys said we did this for the show.”  Doesn’t this sound like a hoax?  Better yet, a publicity stunt?

This family has appeared on Wife Swap in March 2009.  Plus, according to the news, this family devotes their time to scientific experiments, which includes looking for extraterrestrial.  They are building a research-gathering flying saucer to be sent into the eye of storms.

Hmmm, devoting their time to the extraterrestrial is a bit wacky to me!

I just think it’s such a huge shame that so much manpower was wasted on trying to find this boy.  Our hard earned taxpayer money!  It’s very apparent that this family, the Heene’s, are desperate to get recognized and become movie stars!  If anything, they should be billed for all the manpower used to find their family member.  Plus, if they are pulling a publicity stunt/a hoax, the parents should be arrested for this!  This is just my opinion, but I’m sure there are many others who feel the same way.
