In memory of the beloved Billy Mays who died in June of 2009.
Who’s the guy that you love to hear on T.V. shouting at you? Well, that’s Billy Mays. He is what we call pitchmen, someone who tries to sell something like Oxi Clean or Might Putty. He works on infomercials and can make a lot of cash doing it. On June 29, 2009, this great pitchman was found dead in his home in Tampa Bay, Florida at the age of 50. Billy Mays is probably known to most people as the best pitchman ever. The police who inspected his home found no forced entry and no foul play was found. He had a good life though. He was featured in his own show called “Pitchmen”, where he and Anthony Sullivan, another pitchman, looked for products to be shown for an infomercial. He had done numerous television promotions for products such as Orange Glow and the Dual Saw. He even had a commercial for ESPN. How did he die you ask. Well no one knows for sure. But, a day before, a plane Mays was traveling on blew its front tires causing the plane to bump and shake. No one was injured, but several passengers reported bumps and bruises. Some people want to say that that is what may have caused Mays’ death. No one knows the cause by right now. The family wants to keep everything private so they can take in what has happened to their beloved Billy Mays. From this day forth, we will never forget the greatest pitchman in the world. His name is Billy Mays.
