Body Found on Yale Campus: Annie Le Murdered

Police announced around 5PM on Sunday night September 13 a body was found in a Yale laboratory.  Although police have not officially identified the body as Annie Le, it almost certainly is.  Annie Le has been missing for five days and was the subject of a massive investigation in her disappearance,  It now looks like the investigation will have to shift to a murder investigation.  Police discovered the body behind a wall of the basement where cables run between floors.  It is certain that she was placed here after her murder.  No official explanation has been announced yet of cause of death but police have confirmed that it is a murder investigation.  Le was actually planning on getting married the same day, Sunday, that her body was discovered.

Although New Haven police have not officially announced the confirmation of the body being Le’s, they have told the media that her family was contacted and said it was being treated as a murder investigation.  Currently there is no suspects or motive behind the murder.  Le was believed to have been working on a class assignment in the lab when the murder took place.  She was only 24 years old and was pursueing her doctoral degree at Yale University.  Police found her credit cards and money along with her purse at the lab so robbery does not appear to be the motive.  One of the things that confused police that is explained now was how Le was caught on videotape entering the building but not exiting the building.  It appears now that she never left the building at all  Police also announced that they had found bloody clothes in the ceiling tiles in the building that is believed to be related to the case.  Police have announced that they will do everything possible in bringing justice to the victim and family in this case.
