Casey Anthony Returns to Florida

Casey Anthony is back in Flordia to appeal her probation sentence, but will report to Orlando if her appeal fails.

According to her attorney Jose Baez, Anthony had been spending her time in Ohio while receiving therapy and spiritual guidance.

Judge Stan Strickland had sentenced Anthony in Janurary of 2010 to 1 year of probation after she was found guilty of check fraud. At the time, she was stealing checks from a friend of hers. The terms of the probation and when to serve it was unclear which caused a mixup.

A different judge, Belvin Perry ordered Anthony to return to Florida to begin serving her probation. She was informed that failing to report would result in more charges.

Anthony plans to appeal on the grounds that she already served her probation while in jail.

A decision on her appeal will be made soon.
