Another drug dealer is off the street.
After being indicted in April of 2007, Henry Shell pled guilty on January 22, 2008 to conspiring to distribute, distributing cocaine, carrying a firearm, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a firearm in relation to drug trafficking.
Shell, age 36, admitted to conspiring to possess cocaine with the intent to distribute. He also admitted to carrying a firearm during the act of drug trafficking. On May 5, 2008 will be sentenced to a possible 20 years in prison; however, any sentence can be imposed by the court after considerations of all the charges against Shell.
The judge could take into consideration the guilty plea of the defendant. Anyway one looks at it this is Shell’s second offense, one more and he will fall under the third strike law and will be sentenced to life in prison. It is doubtful than any American would cry for another drug dealer that loses the chance to kill more people with poison.
