A woman who was raped by a serial attacker took knowledge she learned from her favourite TV show to good use, ensuring the pervert was caught.
A soldier with the Royal Logistics Corps, was stopped in his tracks as a serial rapist after one of his victims remembered what she saw in CSI.

Jonathan Haynes (30) raped six women in Wiltshire and South Wales (UK) between 2009 -2010. His general routine consisted of kidnapping the woman, driving them to remote locations before carrying out the rapes. After the assaults, he would give his victims towels to clean themselves with so that no DNA was left. But one of his victims, having been a fan of hit US show CSI extracted hair from her head, and scattered it over his car.
The victim was able to narrow down the cars make and colour, to enable the police to quiz suspects. A full check of Haynes vehicle found the hair, and Haynes was arrested for the crimes.
In the weeks prior to his arrest, Haynes attempts became more and more brazen, raping a student in her halls of residence, and trying to abduct two schoolgirls in broad daylight, although they managed to get away. One of the victims was pregnant at the time of the assault.
In handing down the sentence Bristol Judge Neil Ford told Haynes that he had been cunning predator, and showed absolutely no remorse for his crimes. Ford ordered that Haynes would serve no less than eleven years for his crimes.
The girl who left the evidence was praised for her quick thinking, especially given the horrendous circumstances, she and others endured at the hands of Haynes.

Best place for him!
