The scandal between Dr. Pepper and Guns N’ Roses.

The Dr. Pepper company launched a marketing campaign last March that promised a bottle of free soda to “everyone in America” if Guns N’ Roses released their new album any time during the year 2008. After a seventeen year long wait Guns N’ Roses released their new album Chinese Democracy and Dr. Pepper representatives said they intended to hold up their end of the deal. Apparently, Dr. Pepper did not understand just how many fans they had, because the site crashed after a few hours of the twenty-four area period to submit your details for a free coupon for the beverage.

This resulted in a mob of angry fans who blamed the band for their lack of Dr. Pepper, possibly decreasing the popularity of the album. Now, Axel Rose and his band mates are filing a law suit for failure to uphold a good promise and because of “violation” of Guns N’ Roses rights and “respects”.
