A fire that happened on Sunday.

Firefighters from three departments battled a field fire in Jackson Township Sunday afternoon that burned in a corn field and fence row but did not damage any buildings.
Turkey creek (Syracuse) and Clinton (Millers-burg) township firefighterswere called to the propertyat C.R. 27, south of C.R. 48, and worked for more than an hour on the blaze . ”It was a typical grass and field fire, but it was a difficult fire to fight because the ground was soft” said New Paris Chief Joe Warstler. He said one truck became stuck in the mud.
No one was hurt in the incident.
A resident near the fire scene said she believed the fire spread from a brush or trash fire.
