Goodbye to a News Legend

     At the golden age of ninety-two the world has lost one of its most revered news anchormen of our day.  Walter Cronkite was just not another achorman.  He was a media institution.  For almost two decades Walter Cronkite was the heart of “The CBS Evening News.”  We held onto every morsel of information that passed his lips.  We trusted in what he had to say.  He was well respected for his honor in the media by many.

     Walter Cronkite passed away in his Manhattan home on Friday, July 17, 2009.  No other anchorman will reach the heights of respect and trustworthiness that was attained by the late Cronkite.  His memorable phrase of “And that’s the way it is…” will forever echo in our hearts.

     Walter Cronkite will be missed by many but his memory and what he stood for will live on.  Goodbye and a faithful goodnight to a great news legend.
