What happened to the hurricanes this year, is it a lucky year, or is the worst to come. here are the basics of what huricanes are and how they are formed.

this year we have not been hammered yet, but will the real big boys come soon?

Hurricanes the basics: Hurricanes are born west of Africa in the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Then they head west towards the gulf of Mexico. Hurricanes grow stronger over warmer water, so arriving at the gulf of Mexico normally boosts hurricanes up a level.

There are very rare specific storms and the last one was in 1939 in California, these storms are rare but possible to happen again.

A hurricane is a large low pressure system with strong winds and rain.

But the question this year is will many hurricanes hit us? Well we don’t know most likely we will get at least one storm this season, Hurricanes are highly unpredictable and can come and go.

I live in Florida and have seen many storms, never has my home blown away or been destroyed. All people will be fine unless you are on the beach or on a lake, the beach will over flow, high waves will consume everything.

But all we can do now is sit and wait, the wurst is still to come.
