This afternoon a gunman opened fire in the offices of an engineering firm killing one person and injuring five others.

 

Investigators say Jason had brought a handgun to the engineering firm and opened fire this afternoon. Three hours after the shooting Jason Rodriguez surrendered to police. When asked by a reporter why he did it he replied: “Because they left me to rot.”

Last May Jason filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy and asked for his debts to be discharged. He stated that his monthly income as a sandwich artist at subway was $890.67 and his monthly expenses as $815. Before quiting his job at subway Jason’s yearly income had already taken a hit and dropped from $27,686 in 2007 to $13,936 in 2008.

This is another example of someone who snapped and took out his anger on others like the fort Wayne shooting yesterday.

The five surviving victims of the shooting are currently stable.
