Mis-Dialled Phone Number Leads to Shooting

It was reported today that two gentlemen in America’s south got into a dispute over a misdialled phone number and it escalated to a face-to-face confrontation where one of the men was shot. Of course, from being gentle they had turned into ruthless men.

A misdialled number led to the exchange of hostile text messages and phone calls which finally led them to resolve the dispute face-to-face in a parking lot. It was absolutely senseless that they let something as silly as text messages escalate to physical violence which ended with one person being shot.

It leads one to wonder where this world is headed to if we let ourselves be so unforgiving. Today we shoot the guy who dialled a wrong number tomorrow it will be the driver who cut you off this morning and the day after – your feet, cause they didn’t fit into the shoes you bought yourself.

There is always a lesson to be learnt. The sooner we learn to be tolerant, the happier we will be.
